Hi, has anyone any information on nettle tea or supplements? Is it ok to take whilst having chemo? Very confused by lots of conflicting views/ theories!
It is recommended that nettle tea or nettle products are not taken during chemo as some of the enzymes can react with treatment either by causing any side effects to be worse or reducing it's efficiency. Same goes for a shedload of supplements as they contain other additives that although may seem innocent have not been tested for use during chemo.
Best way forward is to ask your oncologist about anything in particular you could have that may help with side effects but don't build your hopes up.
