Hello,my name is Jake and I'm a full time carer for my wife who has bowel cancer.Because of complications from the past she is not suitable for treatment. She has become much worse over the last day. Vomiting a lot and in pain.
I do everything I can for her. However I'm sick with worry and I'm hoping to get help from a local hospice.
Phone your surgery and ask to speak to the GPs secretary, your wifes GP will be better able to liaise with local hospice charity workers in your area ,much more effective than trying to contact local hospices directly. The nurses/assistants will in turn have a relationship with all hospices who offer home or hospice care. The GP surgery should be helping you with this .
