Sorry not posted for a while, has been too hectic dealing with partner/ hospital stays and people coming to visit.
I was just wondering if anyone could give me an idea of the dimensions of the hospital beds they provide at home? We are being put under pressure to get one in but J is not keen. It's a big step. I'm just thinking through how intrusive it will be if I stick it in a corner until it is needed (unlikley to be long). I understand it will be intrusive and big. I'm just trying to think through the practicalities and the best place to put it. Also do they have be downstairs?
Thanks
I really worry about this at the moment my hubby can make the stairs and we share a room ( nightmare) but we will need a hospital bed eventually and where will it go - we have moved to a very small house so for us it will havve to be spare room and dismantle spare bed - whats the ideal - the people who want to spend time with him can wherever and to be honest my hubby is not disturbed wherever he is noise just doesnt bother him - unless you are cutting your lawn lol
When I wanted to buy adjustable hospital bed for my grandpa, I search a lot and bought through Titan Mattress coupons, he needed, because he was slip from stairs and doctor suggested him for bed rest.
I see someone has already kindly given you the measurements but like you i was concerned about having a hospital bed at home when the Macmillan nurse mentioned it but it was the best decision as my wonderful man who has terminal cancer is so more comfortable and we joke as i bought all new colourful bedding and did not have the side bars put on the bed as Geoff did not want them.I have his bed in front room so he can look out window and see the garden and sky plus the large tv so he can watch his YouTube and shout at the politicians and putting the world to right..If you have a bathroom upstairs i cannot see why you cannot have the bed upstairs but i think it may be up to the delivery men if they think your stairs etc are wrong.(our delivery men were very nice).Sending happy vibes to you both and take it day by day and look after yourself as i truly understand the stress and upset .
