Hi, my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in May after a long few stays in hospital from January.
He's been told it's treatable but not curable, it's also spread to his lymph nodes .
He's just finished his 4 lots of chemo and immunotherapy, when he had his 3rd chemo , he had a lot of pain relief, Gabapentin, morphine, co codamol, ibuprofen.
He's been taking these and he's also been drinking on them, he's having mood swings, angry outbursts, wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I'm not sure what to do, he's taking things out on myself and other's, but he doesn't remember it, plus thinks no one understands what he's going through, tonight really drunk and upset, wishing he was dead ! Not sure what to do about this?
Really you are both on a roller coaster ...and it's pretty vile.....I am going to visit the nearest Maggie centre .....our emotions are off the scale ....ncsc stage 4 ....had all treatments plus now waiting for a second opinion......(on suggestion from his lovely oncologist)....good luck and try &get him off ....or cut down the booze.....
