my husband was diagnosed with an oesophagus tumour yesterday we are waiting biopsy results and a ct scan to see if its spread anywhere its hell on earth waiting he is so frightened and im scared of loosing him too but obviously can't tell him this

It is very normal to be frightened after any cancer diagnosis and indeed many find the time between the first diagnosis and getting a treatment plan to be the most difficult. I would guess you have already seen the information on the main site here.
My wife's cancer is very different, Leiomyosarcoma and her treatment is behind us, not a cure but we managed to make her cancer stable and it has been that way for over 10 years - she says we are living with cancer rather than anything else and says they are not troubling her and she is not troubling them.
