My husband was diagnosed with bowel cancer in January 2020. He has had a number of operations over the last five and a half years as the cancer spread. In 2024 he was also diagnosed with prostate cancer Gleason level 9. He had to have his bowel, bladder and prostate removed which means he now lives with two stomas. The beginning of this year we were told that the cancer has spread to his pelvis and he is currently undergoing chemotherapy and targeted therapy to hopefully shrink the cancer in order for him to have more surgery. I honestly feel like I am living in a nightmare. It is so frightening!
Hi Loubycat welcome to the forum..You sum.things up perfectly when you say it's frightening and it is because so much has been thrown at you both in such a short time and no time to relax or try and enjoy a life without worry. Please remember we are here for you as well as hubby and please also remember to take time out of all the upset just for you. Hard, I know, but essential for keeping you well. Please keep in touch and let us know how you are both doing. None of this is easy so a good scream at the world is required every now and then and that's OK.. sending very best wishes Gailx
