Hi Louwales
It is tricky when our loved ones need to face these major decisions but worth focusing on the idea that all anyone can do is to decide one way or the other.
If we look at your feelings when someone has cancer I know I see a lot of the things I went through with my wife. The plus perhaps is that being able to recognize the emotions are accept them as normal, if anything is ever normal now, can help make them feel that bit less overwhelming.
It is a difficult time but one thing I had to learn was how to look after me because otherwise I rapidly became less than effective for Janice.
<<hugs>>
Steve
