Hi - brief history of a loved one’s cancer journey so far - then I have just one question which would be so helpful to have your opinion on?
Breast cancer diagnosed
Cancer lumpectomy completed plus removal of 3 lymph nodes
Cancer found in one lymph node
Chemo completed
planned lymph node clearance planned and will be tested
my question - has the chemo not dealt with any cancer cells that may have been lurking in remaining lymph nodes? Or could the lymph node clearance give us another positive cancer result?
Hi Bananas
welcome to our community though always a little bit sad to see a new friend join us here.
My experience with cancer is with my wife and her cancer is quite different.
For technical questions it may be worth considering our Ask a Nurse or you could have a look/ask in our Breast cancer forum. It may also be worth asking the oncology team as I can understand not wanting an unnecessary operation and of course any complications that might follow that.
<<hugs>>
Steve
