Hi all.
My partner has terminal lung & kidney cancer and is now sleeping a lot and barely eating anything.. I really am struggling with what I can do for him.. I sit with him when he's sleeping and obviously when he's awake but what else can I do?
Many thanks
Hi Firefly71
Sorry to hear about your partner, often they say just being there is about the best thing you can do at a time like this and of course often an important point is about doing our best to ensure our loved one is getting enough fluids.
Of course perhaps the most important thing we need to learn is to remember to look after ourselves too, it can be very easy to overlook our own needs and of course that includes reaching out when we need. Great on here in that we get to post and read when we can but also remember the helpline is available from 8am to 8pm when we need to hear another voice.
<<hugs>>
Steve
