My husband is due to have Anterior P Resection and was all prepared to go to local hospital. Was a shock since he only had complete response from radiotherapy 2 months ago. We met his stoma nurse & was starting to feel a bit more reassured Then Fri 5pm he had a call to say op more complicated & we may have to go to Christie. I know it’s a good hospital. Just more waiting. I get waves of anxiety.
Hi 60sgirl
Totally get the hate waiting bit, I think almost everyone on here gets that as well as the bit about one thing after another.. I know to how calls on a Friday can zap your whole weekend.
I ended up doing a living with less stress course that really helped me, the living in the moment bit and appreciating what we have was great. The conscious breathing stuff was great when life decides to throw us the next curveball. Trancendental meditation though did not really work for me.
Hope you get the appointment sorted before too long.
<<hugs>>
Steve
