  • Hello Tina

    I feel for you, I have just been through similar myself.  Hope this helps you;

    One step at a time, use this time to talk to him, say everything you want to say, hold his hand.  I was terrified of the end, I did find strength I didn’t know i had left, you will too.

    You are not alone, so many of us are struggling too, this community will help you through.

    Hang in there x

  • Hi Tina,

    I just wanted you to know that I am thinking about you. Sending peaceful thoughts.

  • Hi Tina

    My thoughts and prayers are with you at this torrid, horrible time.

    Sending you the biggest hug

    X

  • Oh Tina, there are no words. Thoughts and prayers are with you both. Pray

  • Dear Tina my heart goes out to you. And I completely understand. My husband died on Monday 17th of June. The end came quite unexpectedly - in fact, we spent Friday shopping and cooking a quite complicated meal and choosing and drinking the wine to accompany it. On Saturday he became weak and a little confused but still ok and ate a yoghurt with honey. On Sunday he was agitated, sporadically a little more confused and occasionally incoherent. But we were still able to talk. On Monday I phoned the palliative care team who said to book an ambulance for 3pm to bring him to the palliative care unit (we are in France.) He arrived at hospital at about 4.30 and  I gave him a sip of water and perfumed his beard and he acknowledged me with his eyes. He died just before 6pm with me at his side. So quietly that I didn’t notice. He had no pain at all. I hope that your husband has such a peaceful passing. If you feel that I can help by talking or messaging. Please get in touch. Best wishes to you.
