My partner was diagnosed with advanced bowel cancer the middle of march at the age of 40, he started radiotherapy treatment 4 weeks ago and also chemotherapy tablets, unfortunately due to his continuing infections the chemo is on hold, we have found out tonight after a ct scan his tumour has not shrunk at all, I don’t know what the next steps are just feeling totally lost :(
Hi Lizo79
Welcome to our community though so sorry to read about what you both are going through.
My wife's cancer is very different but she had a number of infections while she was on chemotherapy and that can delay that treatment until the infection is under control - but she got there in the end.
Fingers crossed that the doctors get on top of the infections before to long and that the treatment can go as planned.
<<hugs>>
Steve
