Hello,
Looking for ideas on how to best support my Mum who is terminally ill with breast cancer. She is suffering from pleural effusions, meaning her breathing is extremely laboured and she’s on oxygen most of the time. She can’t do / doesn’t want to do anything, has lost her appetite and is basically feeling very very low.
I don’t really know how to help, how to strike the balance between letting her be & trying to get her to go out etc. it’s so hard knowing what to do and how to help her in what I guess is a bout of depression. Any ideas or suggestions would be most welcome.
in the meantime, wishing you peace & love for 2024 ️
Hi Dolly2021
It sounds like your poor mum is really suffering so it might not be surprising to feel somewhat depressed. I am sure you have already thought of things that she might enjoy that she could do without going out.
On the eating front it might help to look at our pages on eating problems here
<<hugs>>
Steve
