My husband was diagnosed a year ago, and we've had quite a stressful twelve months. I've seen several mentions of people doing 'Living with Less Stress' courses and saying that has helped. Could someone please explain about these? Is it something I could do online, as I'm not sure I'd be able to do it otherwise? I seem to be helping my husband to feel less stressed, but feel I need help dealing with my own worries. Thanks.
The course I did was arranged by Maggies and was online.
My local health authority do a programme https://www.oxfordhealth.nhs.uk/oxon-talking-therapies/ and this is accessed by self referral and again online.
I know this really helped me to learn to focus on the good things now rather than living in that dark future - and I could imagine things much worse than actually happened. Learning to care for ourselves is a really good isuse when we are in carer mode.
