Hi everyone,
I'm a carer for my mother who has just been diagnosed with terminal cancer. She's had her operation and now is looking at 3 weeks of radiotherapy and then chemo tablets. It's all happened so fast we had no sign of anything wrong until her eye started to play up. So it's all been a massive shock.
What i wanted to ask was. I'd like to get her a few nice things like a care package, you know the sort of thing scarf, soap etc and I know her hands are dry and I want to get some nice hand lotion. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for hand lotion? or ideas of what I could get her too ? Is there certain things that cancer patients can't have on these skin, certain ingredients etc.
This has hit our family hard but we are all pulling together for mum. Don't know what I'm going to do without her. Nothing prepares you for this. Sending my love and positive wishes to everyone. xx
Hi FlowerGirl,
My wife was given a MooGoo pack by a local cancer charity and now won't use anything else. I just had a quick search and Cancer Research do a pack here: Body Skincare | Cancer Research UK Online Shop
Hope that helps and wishing your mum and you all the best.
Chris
