Guys, not too sure what advice I'm asking for here or if even is just a rant in a safe place.
But my gran has cancer .. in a lot of places. She has been discharged home from hospital for her end of life care.
Now she has been herself as much as she can be sat in her chair everyday... However today a pressure sore has appeared and so bad that the nurses have recommended she spends little time periods throughout day in bed ... Now she hates this idea!
And now that she's in bed .. she doesnt want to get up. She's crying that she's fed up of being in bed, yet won't get up. And is telling us she's going to lie here and rot.
I know I can't say anything to make her better, but what can I do/say? Hate to watch her lying her crying
Hi Rmc93
Thanks for sharing on here, we all know how difficult in can be to see a loved one in pain and of course we would all love a magic wand to make things go away.
It might help you to look through What to say to someone who has cancer and the section on the end of how we can help
<<hugs>>
Steve
