    Hi Jake23

I am so sorry to hear of your husband’s passing. Everything will be very raw for you at the moment, but in time it will ease. Hold onto the great memories you have, look back at the photos, make his favourite drink, listen to your favourite music and give him a toast to all the wonderful times you had together. Celebrate his life on your own and with family and friends. He’ll always be with you and beside you.
My husband has non small cell lung cancer with secondary brain. We received the “news” 3wks ago, so making the best of things while we can, so I can understand where your coming from, and what you have come through.
Give yourself a chance, a break, allow yourself to heal, there will be good days and bad days, but I hope you have a good support around you. You have done amazing throughout your husband’s illness, and in time you’ll get there.
take care and look after yourself xxx

  • Oh Jake23 I'm so sorry.

  • I’m so very sorry to read this. Nothing in life can prepare you for this and nothing can make it any easier.  All I can suggest is to do everything you possibly can to keep yourself busy all the time  - even if you just want to lie there forever and not move. The numbness can take over and it’s a huge effort to fight through it, but I have no doubt you’ve got it in you. My thoughts are with you. Sending much love and hugs xx
