Despite six months in remission my wife's cancer came back. We tried again with chemotherapy, but she was so ill when she went in for a session on Thursday that they couldn't do it and admitted her for observation. On Friday she was in a lot of pain, but they went to much stronger drugs that almost knocked her out. I got to the hospital at lunchtime on Saturday and she was beginning to wind down. Initially she could recognise me and almost talk, but that faded and at 7pm I held her hand as her heart finally stopped.
Goodbye my one true love, we were so happy together. I shall always love you.
So sorry to read your message. Please accept my heartfelt condolences at this terribly sad time & please get strength from the fact that your wife was so surrounded by love.
