Hello all
i just joined.
my mum was diagnosed with mesothelioma in September - it’s has a life expectancy of a year but to be honestly she’s declining quickly.
today I made the spare room into a lounge so she can go from her bedroom to “her” lounge without having to do stairs.
its just me and her and the pets. I don’t have any friends that aren’t in Tier 4. My mum and dad are divorced and I don’t hear from him much.
I feel tired and lonely and scared.
I guess we all do.

Welcome VMS
We are all aware how very difficult it can be write a post such as yours, I am really pleased to see that you have already received some replies.
I think you have done a great thing in changing the spare room around, I hope that Mum is managing to transfer between these two rooms easily.
The prognosis Mum has been given must be a deep shock to you both, I am so sorry to read Mum's diagnosis, and feeling alone will only impact on you further.
Please feel free to come her and communicate with us at any time and also to call on the Macmillan Nurses or Support Advisors if there is anything that they can do to help you during this difficult time
Take care of you
