Busy week this week.  Three trips to hospital to complete my husbands radiotherapy for the growth in his left hip area. A Consultants appointment which gave us more information than we were expecting. Another growth has been found near his right knee.
Then there was all the information about the Chemotherapy they will be using to treat the to growths in his brain and the one by the knee.
Post arrived today with schedule for next week, blood tests, COVID swabs and Chemotherapy.
Feeling worn out and have rampant emotion surges after being told of another growth and all the Chemotherapy plans.
Also am so tired it’s hard to keep my eyes open, have a mouth ulcer, snuffles, earache and a craving for any and all the food we have in the house!
Is this normal?

  • Hi ,

So sorry to hear about your husband - and your issues. Many find things easier when they are in the swing of treatment and switching from one form to another can thrown all the norms in to a different pace and that on top of those things you are feeling too.

Is this normal you ask - absolutely - but perhaps the more important thing is you are on top of everything - even enough to come on here and share.

    <<hugs>>

    Thank youSmiley

  • Hi Vesmal....hang in there. And yes the way you're feeling sounds perfectly normal to me and I'm sure to many others in this group. One piece of advice I'm given repeatedly is to look after myself. Someone said we're the glue that holds it all together so find time for a nap, sit with a cup of tea and a book (or a lemsip for those snuffles), take time for you even if its only a few precious minutes.

    Big hugs
