I’m new to this group, my husband has recently been diagnosed with aCML. A rare leukaemia and not a lot of information available. We are struggling with the diagnosis but also the lack of information. I rang Macmillan today and they have come back but don’t have any more info than I already had. Bloodwise don’t have it listed, I have emailed them. I was wondering if anyone here might be able help. I will ask the Haematologist next week when we see him for more info but it is feeling like a very long wait.

    Hi

Welcome to the online community and to the carers group and I'm sorry to hear about your husbands diagnosis.

As you've posted your question in this group you may not receive as many answers as you want as only carers can post on here.

I would suggest that you repost you question in the following

Chronic myeloid leukaemia forum group (just copy and paste into your new post)

By clicking on the green text above will take you to the CML group where if you click on join this group then start a discussion yourecset to go and hopefully my friend The Highlander will be along very shortly to give you the answers you need. I'll ask him to watch out for you.

Thank you so much for that information, I’ve been searching the Internet and could only find old information that didn’t reflect current treatments and advances. Not that I understand much of it but at least I now have a reference point when the Haematologist gives us information. It has made much more sense of the results and explanations he has already given us. Thanks again.

You are very welcome, the information was passed to me by the CML group community champion and I earnestly suggest that you join into that group as there is a wealth of knowledge there that you won't find on the internet and the information and answers you will receive will be up to date and accurate.

It's a very friendly group and very supportive towards each other.
