Has anyone suffered problems with a heaviness to their legs & problems walking. After having keytruda
I have never had this drug but have had over 800hrs of chemo over a 2 year period as well as other treatments for my 2 types of T-Cell Non Hodgkin’s Lymphomas…… and I certainly had problems with my legs and eventually ended up in a wheelchair for a few months post my last treatment and had to have physiotherapy to get me back walking again.
The problem with these strong treatments is our muscle mass, especially in our legs can get melted away……. combine this with being less active…… that can also result in the loss of muscle, aches and pains…… trouble walking can happen.
Hi Mike,
Thank you. His ankles are very swollen & I know how long & how much it took for him to get mobile after the stroke.
He had a check up call today from Marsden & was offered physio, as he is already registered with them & also said the lower back radiotherapy could also be causing this as well. But as with everything help wise he declined offer & says his legs/walking will go back to normal when ready. I personally think he should take some physio help now, even if its just to get him out the flat, but no. He wont do it. He says " hes doing it his way".
Hes starting water retention medd tomoz to see if they help with the swelling.
Wait & see & hope for the best.
Thanks for reply & hope you're well
