I have stage 4 neuroendocrine cancer and am concerned about attending monthly clinics for Lantreotide injection.I sat in bone mineral waiting room clinic at Glasgow Royal Infirmary on Friday with around 30+ patients who were accompanied by family members. Several patients & family were coughing without covering their mouths to prevent droplets being spread around the clinic. From what I understand Covid_19 remains airborne for up to 3 hours. I am estimating a footfall of around 100+ people using these large waiting areas each day. The chance for transmission of any airborne virus in this environment seems high. Would the Beatson consider allowing patients to self administer their Lantreotide if it was send to a community pharmacy.
