Cleaning up your diet and your eating habits can help prevent and help you to fight cancers of many types. Things like a proper diet along with vitamin and herbal supplements can help boost the immune system and promote good overall health.
After reaching this point and cleansing your system, your health not only gets better, but you will tend to feel better, and think clearly.
Hello , I wondered if you’d noticed that this discussion was over 10 years old, and I’m not sure that the original poster is still using this site.
I wondered as you were new to the site if I could help you find your way around the site. You might like to start with completing your profile, so people know what’s brought you to the site, (patient / carer which cancer / treatments are sometimes are starting point) help with completing a profile is in the following link.
https://community.macmillan.org.uk/help_section/w/using-the-community/408/my-profile
We could then help by directing you to the groups that might be most helpful or you could start in the new to the community https://community.macmillan.org.uk/cancer_experiences/new_to_the_community/discussions to get help where to find things.
You might also find the ask an expert section helpful

Personally I’m still on cancer treatment and I’m advised to contact my medical team if I want to start any supplements to check that there wouldn’t be any adverse effects on my immunotherapy treatment. There are some helpful sections including one on healthy life style in the information and support sections, I’ve given the link below incase it helps, just click on the link to take a look.

Hi and welcome to the online community
I'm not sure if you realise but the post you've replied to is over 10 years old so it's highly likely that the original poster will not see your question.
I can see from your activity that your brother has recently been diagnosed with lung cancer. This must have been a tremendous shock for you and I can completely understand that you want to find out as much as possible to try and help him. With this in mind, could I suggest that you join the lung cancer group where you can ask questions and get support from others with this disease.
To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself or post a question after selecting 'start a discussion' or join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
When you feel up to it, it would be really useful if could pop something about your brother's journey so far into your profile as it helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
