Just a hi. Would love to have someone to sit by the fire and eat cake with. I'm a weird person, don't really do chocolate!  It's a lonely place having cancer. I've finished my treatment now and so I'm fine. Or so I'm told. Everyone tells me how great I'm doing, how good my hairs looking etc..... No one actually says "how are you feeling?" So I don't tell them.

  • Hot cross bun or a crumpet then? Not doing the choc thing is slightly odd, but, hey we're all different. C'mon in and have a natter! I'm in lazy mode today, I am most days to be honest! Ive also recently completed treatment, waiting to know how successful it's been. Bit wearing on the emotions as well as the body! So, how you doing? X

    Sorry folk,

Chocolate has to go hand in glove with ice cream.  I prescribe myself a Magnum lolly every night once my dinner settles.  I prefer either the classic or the mint flavour, and tend to alternate them.

There is a skill to eating a Magnum however.  You must slowly eat every bit of the chocolate from the outside before starting on the ice cream in the middle.  It is an art to not drop bits of chocolate down your jumper, only to find a brown melted splodge later in the evening.  If you have a low neck top, the chocolatecrumb seem to gravitate towards the cleveage, and are not found until I go up to put my PJ's on.  What a mess that makes!!!

If you want to join me please feel free to help yourself to them from the boxes in the chest freezer in the corner.  There should be enough for everyone as I buy them in bulk from Costco, but please let me know if you notice them going down, and I will replace them my friends.

    love and hugs

    Chris xxxx

I know just what you mean about crumbs in the cleveage but mine are usually of the chocolate biscuit variety so they're irritating as well as messy

    Speaking of food...

Saw this today, 'Breast cancer patient’s daily headgear selfies raise £8,000 for Macmillan'

There are some great pictures with the story - but this one featuring cake is my favourite:

Now I would make a mess with this Michael,  as I would never be able to achieve this balance.   It really would be crumbs for me.

Good news that so much has been raised.

Well done everyone who took part
