Hello everyone,

the title says it all, this is a thread for everyone at any and all hours of day and night, to post, help, laugh, cry and anything in between. There will be no nasty posts, everyone who joins in will be gentle, considerate and kind to everyone else. Hugs to all......xxx

  • Hi Everyone,

Mark, that sounds quite a trip! I've been to Berlin fairly recently too, amazing city, and curried wurst are indeed an experience!

And yes, the journey was long and tiring, daughter and I visited to meet her donor, and it was public transport from Bedford through to Gatwick, flight to Berlin, long walk to the station, train in to central Berlin then a change to manage on the underground to find the flat we had rented in the eastern part of the city. Fortunately, bless him, her donor drove us back to the airport ready for our flight on the Sunday. So it was just flight and train back to Bedford where hubs met us.

How great to come back to find your building being spruced up!

More hot cross buns ready to toast for anyone who would like one......

    Hugs xxx

  • Hi everyone,

Hope you're all doing as well as possible? We both have aching backs from all the gardening and fence replacement! Never mind, though, it's good to rest!!!!!

Been to Costco and bought some little cinnamon whirls as they looked tasty, anyone is welcome to help themselves, which will save my waistline!

    Hi all,

I'm celebrating tonight....I've just had the results of my 5 year mammogram which were clear....so discharged back to normal three yearly screening.

Plus my new partner has moved in with me.

This is the start of the rest of my life and I couldn't be happier.

So there is champagne in the kitchen.....help yourselves.

    That sounds great.

I also feel very lucky to have this second chance, and I appreciate every little thing we do together.

More news.....yesterday I resigned as a community champion.

  • Really happy for you Lynda! That's great news! (You deleted your CC label fast!)

And happy for you too of course, Christine.....

My news? Daughter has sold her house, there was a bidding war between 2 sets of cash buyers, so she got more than the asking price and they are in no hurry to move yet, so she has till September to move out! However, she does need to get a move on as she's abroad much of next month!

We are ok, have done a lot of structural work in the garden so are both shattered, I tried to do much of the heavier work to prevent hubs making his back even worse so we both needed hot baths to soothe the aches!

    Hugs to all xxx

We are moving on. Hard to believe how far we have come since those dark days. I haven't regretted resigning as Community champ because I needed to move away from the sadness but I still like to offer help when I can.

Love and hugs to everyone xxxx

  • Hi Christine,

Yes, you're right, it was the right time for you, but I notice you do still help when it's needed.

I too haven't regretted leaving the post of community champ, I did wonder if it was just the right time, but yes, it was. I still help in the stem cell transplant group when I can, and the Hodgkin's groups. I find I'm gradually doing that a bit less often, too, but still try to boost newcomers. Sadly there always seem some!

We do still get the odd worry with daughter, she has a sort of neck lump, has seen her consultant who agrees it is an unusual lump, not lymphoma, could possibly be a cyst or a hernia and is arranging for a MRI scan. Phew, do they ever stop worrying us parents?!

    Hugs to all xxx
