Gillian
Welcome to this very friendly group and hope you are having a super time in the Lakes, your doing well to get a signal as lots of areas have awful signal strength, give a wave to the Lake District from me its one of my favourite places, hubby still enjoying the last of the gingerbread from Grasmere from our visit in March, hope the sun is shining for you and you have a really relaxing time before treatment.
Love to you and the Lake District xx
Hello Polarbear
Pleased you are having good weather to,i did think about going for a walk then changed my mind & decided to save my energy for tomorrow
I have now remembered what i was going to say to you the other day, what are they calling the new baby
Today is the 1st time i weeks i havn't got up & felt sick at the thought of leaving the house so i thought i'd grab the bull by the horns & get out with him indoors while the going's good, who knows what mood tomorrow may bring

Hi Carol,
Amelia weighed in at 8ib 11oz on St Georges day, I have yet to meet her but very much looking forward to my 1st cuddle hopefully soon, just off now to meet some friends for a cuppa and sit in the sunshine at a local garden centre so enjoy your afternoon and hope to catch up later xxx
Hi All,
A busy room today! Everyone sounds chipper.
Gillian welcome, hope you are enjoying your holiday and recharging your batteries before treatment.
Carol, so the all important question; did you win the quiz? Lol, Hubby and I once won the wooden spoon in ours! Enjoy your evening out With hubby.
Christine, lovely to hear that your house is full of giggles, young children are so uplifting, it does me the power of good seeing my nephews and nieces at the moment. I had Skype kisses from two of them last night.
Polarbear, hic, thanks for the bubbles. Raising a glass to that new bundle of joy. Amelia, love that name and she was a good size too, enjoy her.
I finally got around to cutting the grass today, it was badly in need. My eldest did it yesterday and I did it properly today, I love my teenagers so good at task avoiding; he and hubby agreed last night that our push along mower is no good and we need a new one, lol I managed fine with it today!
So am leaving you all some tomato and mozzarella salad with fresh basil and balsamic dressing, made it for lunch and thought you guys might use some with your tea/dinner depending where you are from.
love to all Jakki xx
Welcome Gillian to this thread, and to the Lakes...my home.
for those that were asking we have sun and cloud here today, but it is cold.
i love tomato and Mazarella so will have some for lunch if that's ok. Just need to sit here quietly for a while, after a busy night at the theatre with a group of new friends from way up (a group for bereaved spouses).
Hi Jakki
We came 6th so no winners cash or last place wooden spoon,we had some sibling rivalry going on as brother & sister in law where on table next to us & unfortunately they beat us by 2 points & boy has he been gloating about that,we'll be ready for him next year,i did, however, win a big tin of foxes biscuits, far too nice for my tombola tomorrow so they're in the cupboard ready for a cuppa when i fancy a choccie bicci
Hope all's well with you & a day like today will be lovely on sunday please
Love & hugs
xx
Hey, welcome, Gillian, this thread is getting busier and it's so good!
This room is one where we can pop in any time, day or night (title gives you a clue!) leave special treats for others, eat what we like, drink what we like and never suffer any after effect! (Yum!) and the faeries clean up after all......they light the log fire if it's cold and open the French doors if it's hot, and there's a lovely garden out there....( imagination is a great thing!)
i too agree, I love the Lakes, but you are really lucky to get a signal. We sometimes visit a lovely lonely spot just outside the Lakes in West Yorkshire, and I get no signal at all!
Mmmmmm, while I've been typing one handed I had a tiny snack of the tomato and mozzerella salad, thank you Jakki, lovely and chilled too......
take care, everyone....off to bed now
hugs to you all xxx
Ps, lovely name for the new baby, Polarbear and welcome to the world, little one xxxMoomy
Good morning, grandma fox. Thank you for the strawberries. Sounds like a lovely morning in your house! How blessed you are to have nappy smells! Strong coffee masks it nicely! And toast, with marmite! I'm so pleased you've had your daily health check, and passed I assume! Weather not so good here for washing, so I'll have another coffee and put it off till tomorrow! And just pop a juicy strawberry in my mouth, nom, nom, nom! X
