Hi all
I don't get to see marathon as i work weekends but people always say how emotional they get watching it,my friend has ask me to do race for life with her,i've said no but i'll go & watch her do it
Jakki,do you actually live in Matlock or outside,we can see the town from our friends front garden
How are you copeing with a houseful Christine
Love & hugs to all
xx
I think this year's Marathon was extra emotional, being Paula's official farewell to the race, it was great seeing her being given that lifetime achievement award!
And the music is inspirational and upbeat too!Opened one of a few pink lemonade bottles that I brought, very dizzy and tasty, do feel free, anyone who isn't on the alcohol at present! There is a tray of brownies all cut ready, too, help yourselves!

Hi Jakki
I have a rough idea where you mean, our friends live in Stretton & have the most amazing view from their front garden,me & him indoors came & had the day your way last year,we parked half wat between Matlock & Matlock Bath then walked into town,i loved all the antique & vintage shops & got an absolutely gorgeous dress & coat for 20 quid & there where some lovely places to have a cuppa, we then walked the other way & did the Heights of Abraham which was quite a big deal for me as i'm not good with heights!! if things get a bit much for me people wise next weekend we'll trot off somewhere & have a quiet coffee,i might suggest a walk round the park as it looks lovely
Your so lucky to live in such a pretty area,it's flat & boreing where we are but on the plus side we're only 40 mins away from the norfolk coast & about 45 from the wolds which is a nice area
xx
Hi,
Just popping in before my day starts,
Christine I hope your house has lots of laughter and fun while your family are staying, and sometimes you need to lose the things like peace and quiet, so when you get it back you fully enjoy it.
I am reminded that we all have other lives apart from the illnesses that brought us here, and we are all coping with lots of other issues too, some good my new great niece, and the upcoming 21st birthday of youngest son and some not so good frail mum in need of extra help and other son whom needs support to make sense of the world.. So whatever you are all coping with hope you can all find time to smile today and know how important you and the support is on here and in our daily lives.
Sending you all a special hug and understanding today and leaving some fizz left over from celebrating the new baby, and a bottle of alcohol free to raise a glass to friends old and new and thank you to you all for being there.
Hope today is a good one but if not know we are here for you xxxx
