Hello everyone,
the title says it all, this is a thread for everyone at any and all hours of day and night, to post, help, laugh, cry and anything in between. There will be no nasty posts, everyone who joins in will be gentle, considerate and kind to everyone else. Hugs to all......xxx
Tonight is a Supermoon......supposedly the closest it's been for many years. You can see it out of the lovely wide windows here through to the garden.
Just plumped up cushions and ensured the fleeces are handy for anyone planning to snuggle down on the sofas.
Friday evening (11th November!) I escorted daughter to the Palace of Westminster, the Lymphoma Association had booked the terrace for their annual Beacon of Hope Award ceremony, daughter had won an award and we had a great evening. The NHS choir (Gareth Malone's lot) sang a few numbers and the canapés were great!
Very proud Mum!

Can't see the supermoon here for all the clouds, I knew I should have taken a picture last night!!
It's been a busy day here, trying to catch up with all the things I wasn't able to do when hubby was so ill...
Looking forward to settling down on the plump cushions, and just chilling. I made a pot of home made soup, feel free to partake, it's lentil. It goes well with the crusty bread in the oven mmmm

Hi Sandra,
Mmmmm, lentil soup, wow, that will be amazing for lunch, thank you so much!
Yes, I saw the so called super moon when the clouds here eased up but it didn't really look much different.....should have taken a photo to compare!
I'm easing off on the site now that daughter is still in a long remission, however I think that 7 years of chemo has taken a toll on her physically, she's in menopause of course, but is also getting odd joint problems now. She's waiting a scan of some sort and then if it shows arthritis in her neck she will hopefully see a Physio to ease hand and arm problems. She still has neuropathy, which isn't surprising given all those drugs. It mostly seems to give her cramps at odd times, especially if tired/stressed/in one position eg when driving, which of course, being freelance, she does a lot!
But I still pop into the lymphoma and transplant groups.
Hugs to all who pop in here.....xxx

Brrr, it's chilly.....but not in here....
Just popped in to find that the faeries have ensured the log burner is well fed with logs, thank you faeries!
Brought some home made chicken curry, I made too much, it's full flavoured rather than too spicy-hot, there are chips in the oven if you like curry and chips, there are also packets of microwaveable rice (I know about the food poisoning that comes from rice!) that take 2minutes....also some cheesecake as I remember that went down well (and fast) last time....
Please help yourselves. I've lit candles and popped on the fairy lights as it makes it feel so cosy in here.
Hugs to all xxx

Hi
New Zealand as it heads into summer sounds a wonderful change of scenery.
Hope you will demonstrate the 'Haka' for us on your return :)

Hi Lynda,
Really 'down under,' then? I was almost brought up in NZ as my parents were very keen when I was little and the jobs for my Dad here in the UK were so hard to find, they had all the papers ready filled in, but he realised his Mum would be alone, and they just agreed it wouldn't be right for her.
I often wonder how it would have worked out.......
Hope you enjoy your break and the happy missing of some of this country's winter! However, hope you're well away from the 'quakes!
Hugs xxxx
