Hello everyone,

the title says it all, this is a thread for everyone at any and all hours of day and night, to post, help, laugh, cry and anything in between. There will be no nasty posts, everyone who joins in will be gentle, considerate and kind to everyone else. Hugs to all......xxx

  • Soooo,

Daughter's blood test tells them she is not coeliac, and is being referred to gastro enterology for more blood tests (possibly samples too?)  But it does seem that at present, she reacts to wheat/gluten/some dairy especially ice cream.

She's doing her best to avoid these as much as possible, then her tum is relatively stable, it seems. It might be temporary, who knows? But it's the right thing to investigate.

Incredibly, just the irradiated red cell transfusions she needed post transplant cost over £35,000!

Popping some choccy biscuits in the tin as it seems a bit low....and some fresh Lemon slices for the G&T......

    Hugs to you all xxx

    Evening friends,

Couldn't access the site yesterday, but it seems all right now.

Moomy,  how much would be in debt without the NHS, it doesn't bear thinking about.  Even those lucky enough to have private healthcare either individually or from their employer.

I hope the doctors find a solution for your daughter and soon... She and all of your family must be very weary with it all.

Anyway, the weather has been foul all day, the rain has not stopped at all, such a change from yesterday when I managed to get my bedding out and dried too. April showers, right enough.

I prefer vodka to gin, so I have left some and have topped up the ice bucket, enjoy...

    Sandra

Cheers everyone, I'm having a virtual g and t with you all as I'm on the wagon at the moment, well have been for the last few years, so I'll pop some apple juice in the cupboard for anyone who wants to join me :)

Ventured out in the car this afternoon with a friend to see a local quilting show which was wonderful and inspiring if not a little overwhelming! There are some very clever people out there!

Exhausted now so will be heading off for a warm bath before long

    Xx

I hope they soon sort out what is upsetting your daughter moomy. It must be frustrating for her.

We have had a lovely day. Been to Buxton and listened to the band in their bandstand. Lots of people out in the sunshine. We bought a lovely lythocut of jennywrens as well as having tea and cake.

Off now to roast a chicken for dinner.I have some pastry left so will make an apple pie

  • Hello, everyone,

Hope all is as well as possible....

Its been great weather here, rain overnight (good for the garden so as long as the daytime is dry!) and we've had a great time re-doing the garden, I dug up 2 fruit shrubs that we wanted to get rid of and planted a pot-bound lavender and some dwarf daffy in their places, and we got the raised bed ready for the peas.

Daughter wanted to use her new toy again (a drone) so she drove me out to keep her company, we spent a great hour or two in parkland near some of the lakes, taking film and some still shots, which she enjoyed editing.

Cottage pie and stir fry veggies for us (all ok with no gluten!) but roast chicken sounds lovely too.

    Hugs to all xxx

    Evening all

Hope all are as well as can be

Weather here has been horrible today, wet & windy & not very warm, sort of day that makes you want to curl up with chocolate & a good book

Medusa had a couple of new playmates yesterday,a tiny spider that she eventually battered to death & ate & a fly that got the better of her & was always just out of her reach,it was so funny watching her leaping about trying to catch it

I've put some scones, jam & clotted cream in the fridge, mum made them & there's a few too many for us,tea for us tonight is a leftovers experiment,we had duck in orange sauce on Monday & i've used the leftovers to make a pasta bake, fingers crossed it's ok

How is your daughter doing Moomy,i do hope they soon get her sorted out,it must be so worrying for you all, how's your sons ear now

Sending love & hugs to all

    xx

    Evening,

It's been cold and windy here today with heavy showers and sun.....a bit of everything. The garden is saturated though so I can't get on it to plant some plants I bought last week. I'm hoping I can get them done before I go away next weekend.

I don't know about a good book.....I've been sorting out my accounts today so that I can file my tax return tomorrow.

Outwitted by a fly.......tee hee. At least she got her exercise.

The scones sound yummy. I have bananas going off so look out for banana nut bread at some point tomorrow.

Hope everyone else is ok, it's very quiet round here at the moment.

Hello everyone, finally able to login.

Hope everyone is ok.  I have been keeping busy, occupying my mind.  Learnt how to do new crochet stitches so more blankets to dispose of soon.  People keep asking if I have gone back to work but I dont feel ready yet, not sure if I will know when I am ready, longer I leave it the worst it will be I suppose.

Sunshine and showers here all day but very pleasant evening here now, although getting very breezy again.

Hope you get your planting done soon especially as you are going away soon Lynda.

Hope you are ok Christine, I read your post the other day, hope you are feeling a bit brighter.

Hope your daughter is ok Moomy and your son has recovered.

Your cats are keeping quite a few people entertained Carol, bless them.

Hope you are ok Gillian and the itch has subsided, did you ask if it was a side effect of any medication?

Don't  see much from Keith and Ian on here recently, hope you are both coping.

Lots of love to everyone.  Jasmin xx
