Did i hear cake & chocolate mentioned, count me in for both of those please

Oh Lynda, your poor friend, she must have wondered why her,all 3 of the girls slept on the bed the other night till i rolled over & knocked one of them off,not sure which one it was but both the kittens came downstairs out of the way & don't come up now till the alarm goes off,Polly just love to be up there & comes to bed with me now when i go up,Willow & Medusa have just been having a proper scrap, ears flat, tail up & grumbling & swearing at each other, she may be tiny but Medusa stands her ground & gives as good as she gets, all is now calm while they have a little nap ready for round 2

Weather here is foul now, pouring with rain & rather windy, good job i had my 2 mile walk this morning

How busy we all are,i'm knitting baby things at the minute & i picked up a magazine with how to crochet for idiots instructions in it,can't crochet but always keen to learn something new,i had a lovely patchwork quilt made for me,no way would i have the patients for that, there's talk of a knit & chat group starting in town which i might go to if it's on a day & time i can make it

I've made a brew & given the fire a quick poke to liven it up a bit

    Love & hugs to all

    xx

  • Popped in with some reduced price Easter eggs (!) as they are made so early they don't need a 'best before' on them, but shops are happy to reduce as they need shelf room, so I take advantage.......enjoy, folk!

Son posted a photo with a Hotel Chocolat box of eggs, I decided he was just being greedy!

Carol, as always your cats make me giggle, I know those kitten fights...used to see them with neighbour who had cats. They didn't normally last long....

It threw it down with rain just after we had got safely home today, got puddles all round the garden, but it has cleared now, hopefully will improve the rest of the week.

Hubs still has lots of bruising round his nose from his fall in the garden on Friday last, but fortunately didn't get black eyes. He has vowed to take more care, especially when I need to go out. He really isn't too steady on his feet, which worries me.

    Hugs to you all xxx

    Hi everyone.

i was away with the family over Easter at Woolacombe and did not realise the email problems.

Weather very mixed and lots of really cold winds. Longing for warm sunny days.

i haven't touched any chocolate. Started to try to lose all that extra weight and got hooked when the pounds started to move. So far lost 20 lbs and feeling much better for it.

Moomy so sorry to hear about Hubby falling. I know it must make you anxious for him when you are out. Are you stilling do Bletchley Park as I am planning a visit soon. Glad Son and daughter are ok.

Carol you and your cats are still so amusing hope you are well and not working too hard. Funny how cats always go to those who do not like them. I had a Siamese cat once and she was always jumping onto people and then would flex her claws so they could not get her off!!

Gillian hope you are doing ok.

    Love to all xxx

    Hi,

There was a very cold wind here today, and snow on the mountains.

You've done very well on the weight loss. I've just about given up for now.

The vet called Luna a parrot cat, because as soon as I lifted her out of the cat box she climbed onto my shoulder and dug her claws in.

There a program on about the Lakes at the moment.

  • Hi Christine,

I think most of the country has had very mixed weather, we certainly have!

Well done for losing the weight!

Walked into town today (it's a mile) and back as forgot the bus pass (but beat the bus anyway!) and although sunny, there is still a chilly wind. I was certainly warm when I got home again. I know hubs misses the walking, we used to go miles.

Yes, Tuesday mornings and all day Saturdays are at Bletchley Park, if you want to visit. Saturdays are usually pretty hectic, Carol visited on a Tuesday which meant I could spend a bit more time with them.

Yes, cats are strange, they always seem to know who to sit on that isn't keen on them! Oddly enough we used to have tropical lizards as pets (Iguanas) and had one friend who, though a total nut about any sort of living creature, had never met lizards before, one of them took a look and immediately climbed up and sat on his knee looking adoringly at him! This was a chap who loved animals so much he went round his neighbourhood collecting snails in buckets and driving them out several miles away to release them! (Snails have a two mile homing instinct!)

    Hugs to you all xxx

Ps, our posts crossed, Lynda, still snow on the tops? Brr!

Good evening everyone. We had a very busy weekend. Relatives on Sunday and friends visiting on Monday. I thoroughly enjoyed it and found I had the energy to do all the catering.

However I bought too many lindt mini eggs so help yourselves, also white chocolate ducks. The specialist chocolate shop sells all sorts of stuff made from chocolate. They had farm animals, garden implements etc.

Sounds like most people had a busy time despite the weather.

Hugs to you all, I know you understand just how elated I feel yet have an underlying fear that it can't last. I am enjoying being well whilst I can. I am still itching but trying to ignore it. I don't think the accupuncture is making any difference. I just had a thought, might it be the drugs they have put me on to stop itching? The packet info says they are for deprssion. I wonder, I think I might go see my GP.

Hi Gillian 1, thanks for the mini eggs yum :),

I can understand that feeling, so enjoy each day, this morning I had a walk round the block and saw a lovely magnolia tree almost in full bloom.

Hope you get some relief from the itching, maybe your pharmacist can help?

    Xx
