Lovely sunny day here, decided to pressure wash the paths, done a bit too much but paths are clean.  I ened up soaking wet and filthy dirty.  Weather is not supposed to be very good for rest of weekend.

I am thinking of buying a small sewing machine to do patchwork, or have a go at least.  I have been knitting and crocheting.

Hope everyone enjoys rest of weekend, no one has mentioned easter eggs, so ive left one for each of you.  Jasmin xx

  • Happy Easter, everyone! I've added to the Easter eggs too, thank you Jasmin....

    Hugs xxx

Good evening all, just arrived home slightly tipsy & in need of chocolate & i just knew somebody would have been in with some :-) thanks, been to see the band our friend plays drums in & a thoroughly good time was had by all

We don't bother closing the bedroom door now Moomy as Polly just lets herself in at ridiculous o'clock but if we leave the door she comes to bed with me & sleeps all night curled up near my feet

Right that's me off to bed now, work & a coffee morning to organise tomorrow

    Love to all

    xx

    Hi,

    Hope everyone is ok today.

I have had a good weekend. I went to a party last night, the 60th birthday of a friend I have made through Way Up. As well as her friends and family there were about 20 way up people there, all friendly and chatting to one another (whether we knew each other before or not). All dancing in a big group. It was a great evening, one I could never have imagined being part of before Jon died. One Wupper stayed the night in my spare room, and we went out for lunch today before she drove home. Lovely not to be alone at Easter, and also not to have to cook for myself!

A little bird told me it's someone's birthday today, so I've put some cake in the kitchen...a bit late I know but my body clock is all mixed up.

Jasmin, I meant to say I plan to start a patchwork quilt soon, but my daughter in law has just borrowed my sewing machine to make soft play cubes for the baby.

Carol, both cats sleep on my bed. The funniest thing was that the friend who stayed last night is not a cat person. So I spent my time chasing Luna out of the bathroom (she likes to sit on the basin while I go to the loo), collecting Lucas from her bedroom every time she opened the door, lifting both cats off her lap as they decided they liked her!

Really weird how the cats go to people that really dont like them isn't  it?  Glad you had a good time at the party.  I have tried joining wayup but it says my application has failed.  I'll  try again.  I have been crocheting squares and at the moment I am getting really bored sewing them together.  It has been raining here all day so cats been asleep only waking for food.  Hope evryone enjoys rest of the easter weekend.  Xx

Morning all, just had a short walk round the block, windy and wet!

I've had a quiet weekend, daughter away at uni studying for final exams, I see some of you are interested in patchwork, I do a little but don't have a sewing machine so it takes me ages to make anything, still I have plenty of free time now and it passes an evening

Hope weather improves soon for you all xx

  • Afternoon everyone, won't say 'good' before it as the weather has been dreadful!

Fortunately nobody here has seen too much of any problems, am looking after next door as they are away, and no roof tiles gone or anything untoward....hope none of you have had troubles! Son is in Cornwall in a motor caravan, they are safe and well.....dog not keen on wet walks though!

Popped some fruit loaf in the cupboard, there's butter in the fridge too, please help yourselves, still some Easter eggs left too, I see - where's the chocoholic???? Have put another log in the wood burning stove.

    Hugs to all xxx

    Afternoon all,

The weather this morning was quite nice here. I spent a couple of hours cutting things back in the garden. But it has just started to rain so I've come in for lunch.

Yes, try again Jasmin and if you are still having trouble e mail the admin team there, or let me know and I will e mail them for you.

I'm hopeless at knitting and crochet but can sew. I used to do lots of cross stitch but haven't for a while.
