You know I said I was doing really well, i still am, but just now half my tooth has disappeared (during dinner), and guess what?  it is a long bank holiday weekend. I ask you what is going on? Fortunately it doesn't hurt, I will ring my dentist in the morning and see what her recorded message says.

    Morning everyone,

I'm sat with coffee and toast, can't face hot cross buns yet, maybe later, they are sat on the cake tin waiting!

Lovely sunny morning, will get some house work done then maybe go out for a lunch break :)

    Happy day everyone xxx

  • Hello to you all,

Welcome, Sewingbee, the hot cross buns will stay nice and warm (the faeries here see to that) so you can enjoy them whenever you feel like it!

Gillian, I hope you find an emergency dentist who will sort that tooth out for you! Hubs once had terrible toothache (and is a dental phobic) and we found a lovely unit on Christmas Day who sorted him out! Since then he's been a good chap and does go regularly!

Carol, it sounds as if you will get no peace from Polly and her brood! But they do make me giggle.....

Lynda, I hope the sun stays with you today, it's really lovely here after a miserable wet day yesterday, still, no need to do any watering of the small area we've seeded on the edge of the lawn (that's if the birds haven't already eaten most of the seeds!)

We thought daughter might spend Easter here but it looks as if we might see her next week instead, pity as I've experimented and made a tea loaf using ground almonds rather than flour. Still, all the more for all of us, eh? Please help yourselves!

    Hugs to you all xxx

  • Loads of gardening done (too much, we both ache!) and daughter arrived unexpectedly, enjoyed helping us, was well fed, and is going to take a chunk of the fruit loaf (although a bit soft it's yummy) with her.

Hubs tumbled down, has a bump on his knee and cut his nose. His back is so bad that he loses sensation in his legs when standing too long and they simply give way under him. Fortunately we were both there, daughter stayed with him while I dashed for ice pack and tissues. He's ok but was pretty shaken. Now you all know why I do so much around house and garden......I try to prevent him overdoing things!

    A quiet evening.....

    Hugs xxx

Lovely that your daughter turned up Moomy. Hope hubs is none the worse for his fall.

My daughter in law wanted to borrow my sewing machine today to make soft cubes for the baby to play with. So I took it over and showed her how to use it, and how to stitch the cubes together.

Then I assembled a big cupboard for them which they had from my old place.

So I also fell in the bath to get rid of the aches.
