i can't believe how lucky I am to have so many people who care about my welfare. Bless the day I found you all.

Moomy you are so busy!! Hope daughter and Son are OK.

Carol you are pretty busy yourself as usual. Always thoughtful and caring xx

Gillian hope you are doing well and feeling good.

Lynda poor Lucas, was bound to have some effect but love will see him through.

Well the train show was great, we met up with lots of friends who have similar interests. We have planned a meet here on Easter Monday. I will need to start baking for that. Much tea and cake will be consumed.

The cat stories keep us all amused, hopefully Lucas will be as happy when he gets off the tablets

Hugs to everyone who has lost someone it must be so hard.

The week ahead looks busy, it being Holy Week. .

    .

  • Glad you enjoyed the train show, Gillian....... Lynda, I'm keeping fingers crossed that Lucas remains all calm and full of purrs.......Christine, glad the Prosecco lifted you .......Carol, thinking back to Medusa landing in your chips, I too remembered that when Jasmin typed about her cat landing on her toast,  it's so funny the way cats shake paws one by one when they don't like what they tread in!

Rest......I think I've heard that word somewhere........honestly, I fell asleep this afternoon after a glass of wine, ( thank you faeries and ladies for leaving that lovely bottle of white chilled) and apart from doing 2 loads of washing and a bit of gardening, I did take it easy, honest!
Daughter has been rough again, maybe just a result of having a chip shop sausage.....it could indeed be gluten problems, hope she does manage to get some answers! She has a couple of days off now, may well come to us for Easter, not yet sure.
Son coped playing for Mikado and also a concert tonight of Faure 'Requiem', I love that work but wasn't there to hear it. I hope that ear will stop giving him problems very soon.
    Hugs to you all xxx

Fingers crossed for your mammogram, when do you get the results?

I have just made a simnel cake today. Finished it off under the grill without burning it. I even caught my own simnels!!!

I don't go till May,letter arrived Saturday with the date & that sent me into panic mode,i hate all the waiting

I've not made a simnell cake since i did one at school & we were lucky as the teacher had been out & caught the simnell for us

Anybody want a cat, there's one here that you're welcome to today,Medusa is a little sod at the minute,we moved the TV the other day to stop her going behind it & guess where she's just appeared from, yep, behind the TV,she's been into mischief since we got home today

Will you lot stop it! Simnel cake and chocolate....it's not fair.

I fell off the diet wagon lunchtime when my son took me out to lunch. Now I'm also craving chocolate and marzipan, and I have some sitting in the other room.

You can keep the little naughty one Carol, I have enough trouble dealing wit my own. Although he has been good as gold since I started his treatment.

Programme just starting on BBC 1 set in the lakes with beautiful pictures of the scenery already.

    Enjoy your programme

I have just booked a holiday in Borrowdale in early July. Beautiful scehery on the doorstep. Very different from the scenery we have in the Peak District. I get my dialysis in Cockermouth.

Anyhow, I shall be making hot cross buns tomorrow. I have a recipe from my grandmother. She made them and took them to her neighbours as a sweet treat to wish them Happy Easter. I am so happy that I can now do these things having had the past five years really struggling. I am still unable to do many things my contemporaries do but none the less brilliant for me. It is making life easier for Hubby as well.

You're making me hungry now Gillian,i don't bake anymore,i'm too lazy now & if i make a pie i only put a lid on it as i can't be bothered to do a base for them

I'm so pleased Lucas is calming down Lynda, all the girls are curled up asleep on the settee now & Pud is patiently waiting on the landing for Vince to come out of the back bedroom,it's quite comical at times watching them all skirting round each other,Pud's much more tolerant of the girls now but he does put himself to bed when he's had enough of them

    xx

  • Clever you, Gillian, I've never tried making a simnel cake though know all the stages. I chickened out!

Carol, yes, we all are hoping for the best mammogram possible for you, as for housing Medusa, as a non cat house, probably not but thank you all the same.

Christine, Lynda, Jasmin, thinking of you all and hoping today (even though grey outside) is sunny for you in all your memories.

Today seems a very easy day, doing very little (yes, resting, haha!) I've watched Doctor Thorne, however, all three episodes which I liked the look of so recorded.

Daughter is spending much of Easter here, I gather, by the look of her shared diary, so the gluten free stuff I've bought will be tested. She is pursuing a GF diet at present to see if that helps her, she hasn't yet had her blood test results though, we gather they take a good week. Will be happy to see her and try to help her adjust her diet.

Rather quietly proud of my published blog on here, (in common with an ex member of the site, I'm typing this from under the table in my embarrassment!) and I have also written an article for the Lymphoma Magazine too, which will get published eventually.

    Hugs to you all xxx
