Been the same here Gillian, wrapped up nice & warm this morning to go & watch one of my little people playing football, thoroughly enjoyed the match & my boy got man of the match so he was a very happy boy,i've got the sore throat that's doing the rounds & didn't feel up to having my little mate last night, just after i'd got snuggled up on the settee under the duvet we could hear "nanny, nanny, nanny" outside the front door, when Vince opened it she stood there with mummy & a box of chocolates, she stood in the shop & said "i know what will make nanny feel better, that box of chocolates,i'll get it with my pennies" yes i did have a few tears, how sweet that that little girl spent her pocket money on me & not sweets & a comic for her

Hope all have had the best day possible

    Love & hugs

    xx

    That's lovely nanny Carol.

I'm feeling stress d right now. What started as an idea to organise a simple way up meet in Windermere has turned into a weekend for 28 people which was fully booked within 24 hours of being posted on Way Up. Now I'm panicking in case something goes wrong with any of the arrangements.....and it's not until June!

And breathe........and open another bottle of wine.......

Off down south tomorrow. Staying with my parents tomorrow night, seeing Jons mum Monday, meeting fri nods Monday night (including a lady widowed one month before me also to lung cancer), and meeting baby Adam on Tuesday.

Lynda please do not stress about the Windermere weekend. It will be wonderful. You have the main things booked up. Your accommodation booked and everyone is really looking forward to it. If anything goes wrong (and it won't) we wiil all be there to deal with it with a smile.

    Careful with the wine,!

    Thanks Christine,

Yes the only thing we haven't been able to book is the Sunday lunch, and that's because the restaurant/pub is currently closed due to the flooding. They won't take a booking until they reopen....fair enough I guess. There is an alternative close by, but it doesn't allow dogs.

I don't know why I am str swing now it's organised.mi think it's just that it was so popular it's a bit frightening.

I think the wine has done for my calorie intake today.....oh well. Tomorrow is another day.

It was so nice to be able to go & watch him,i've missed far too many matches since the boys started playing football & it's lovely to be in a job that allows me the time off to go to watch them & go & see Kaitlin when she's doing her acting & singing

Thank you Christine for your kind words, you are a lovely lady with a kind & generous heart & i would so love to meet you & give you a hug

Calm down Lynda, everything will go fantastically in the lakes & everybody will have an amazing time

    xx

No M & S I'm afraid. But I'm pretty sure there is a fish and chip shop!

  • Carol, it was lovely to hear about that man of the match and also the lovely nanny's box of choccies, how cute was that? But sorry to hear about your sore throat, hope it's better very soon.

Gillian, yes it's been chilly here too, yesterday was chilly and drizzly, today there's just the chill breeze.

Lynda, please don't stress too much, as you say, there's always a chippy! Hope it goes far better than you fear! And it will be great for you to cuddle the latest arrival soon.

Christine, good to hear from you, hope all is good for you right now.

Neck is at last easing, the Physio is helping, still have pain by the end of the day so getting to sleep isn't easy. And doggy walking (especially if he's excited and pulls) is not really helping, so we only do a couple of miles - but not yesterday as he hates the wet!

    Hugs to all xxx
