Hello everyone,
the title says it all, this is a thread for everyone at any and all hours of day and night, to post, help, laugh, cry and anything in between. There will be no nasty posts, everyone who joins in will be gentle, considerate and kind to everyone else. Hugs to all......xxx
Lynda I can understand you being reluctant to let Lucas out!
Well done at the leisure club, I will have to notch up the exercise but I just can't master treadmills (always fall off the back-don't ask!). Like swimming but get bored on my own, also these Grandchildren keep me so busy!
I am trying to decide on holidays as well. Longing to hear the Croatia details. I think I am going to go on an escorted tour with Rivera Travel again. Lake Como and Switzerland. On my own I expect. I see Jonathan has put a Spanish one up today.
Carol did you ever think you would have a house full of delinquent cats?
Moomy hope you and the family are all OK.
Jasmin love to you and Mick.
Gillian and Jakki hope you are OK love and hugs to you.
Thinking of you as well Ian and anyone I have forgotten. On the diet now so left all my uneaten chops in the fridge xxx
Before you think I am too energetic I only fast walk on the treadmill. I expect you are burning the calories chasing grandchildren! You could always take them swimming.
We went to Switzerland once only for a couple of days as part of a Rhine cruise, but I loved it. We visited Lucerne which was beautiful. The Spanish holiday looked good. Jonathan did say when we were in Budapest that it would be March, but I see he has now posted it for April. A reasonable price though for what he includes. I can't go as I am in Madeira with my parents.
I was wondering why your chops were in the fridge....now chocs makes more sense! I have discovered that 4 long honeycomb matchmakers is only 75 calories, and satisfies my chocolate craving.
Goodness, all this exercise is making me hungry,i'll just have a chocolate or two, thanks Christine
Well we're still none the wiser as to who put the curtains in the bath but my monies on Medusa,at the minute she's the most trouble,we certainly never expected this Christine,if Polly hadn't been poorly we would still have a nice quiet house, having said that i love every minute of it,even though they're holy horrors at times they're such fussy girls & when Medusa jumps on my knee for her evening fuss & nap it's lovely
I'd be like you Lynda & very reluctant to let one of mine out if they'd been missing like Lucas was,the thought of Luna running away from the open door made me smile,no holidays for us,we don't go away we just adventure to different places everyday & last year we met up with some lovely people, hopefully we'll be able to do the same again this year
Hope everybody else is doing well
Love & hugs to all
xx
Hi everyone,
Just to reassure you, I'm on the sofa with my feet up!
Yes, holidays are uppermost in my mind too, and we have watched Portillo (Portaloo to us, haha) in Sussex/Kent, we fancy exploring that area from a rental cottage sometime, a whole lot tamer than China etc, but it's an area we have visited but never explored.
I've been checking out on the net but nothing looks totally outstanding at present..anyone any ideas? Recommendations are always worthwhile!
BP tomorrow, house purchase delivery Wednesday (new mattresses!) and daughter is staying that night too, and Friday night as well. Then as normal it's choir Thursday, G&S Friday, BP Saturday and then I'm meeting up with some Lymphoma folk Sunday. That's a busy rest-of-the-week!
Thinking of you all,
Hugs xxx
Moomy
The Lakes really appeals to me, to us both, but hubs isn't mobile any more so it would be tough for him to go to an area where he walked before, and also because of inclines, couldn't use his scooter..
S-on -A is a town I know well as used to live 5 miles from there when a kid, but I think west Kent/East Sussex appeals to us both, especially if near the coast. Certainly for a week or so......
Weekends or short breaks are a great idea though.....and yes, meeting up would be fun!
I too was glad to read about choccies rather than chops in the fridge.....
Medusa sounds very loving, Carol......
And exercise for exercise sake sounds boring to me, would much rather have an end in mind ( not that the end wouldn't be to lose weight, I too need to!)
Hugs xxx
Moomy
Yes would be wonderful to have a meet up. S on A is a good central point but I would travel to see you all xxxx
Hi Moomy,
Sorry to but in here but I noticed you talked about your husbands scooter not coping with the slopes. I work in Whitby which whilst not as big as the lakes is built on quite a slope. The local disabled action group rent out scooters there which are powerful enough to cope with the slopes and have sufficient battery life to last all day. The actual hire charge is not too bad although they do ask for a large deposit.
I don't know if there might be something similar in the Lake District but it might be worth checking?
Best wishes,
Gragon xx
