Hello everyone,

the title says it all, this is a thread for everyone at any and all hours of day and night, to post, help, laugh, cry and anything in between. There will be no nasty posts, everyone who joins in will be gentle, considerate and kind to everyone else. Hugs to all......xxx

  • Hi Gragon,

Thank you for this, but when I mentioned his scooter, I really mean scooter, with two wheels and a removable seat! The battery pack ( 3 batteries) are below the footplate, and enables the scooter to get 35mph on the flat. It is possible to lift it in and out of the car, complete as the handlebar folds. But coping with steep hills is a bit different!

It enables him to do our volunteering work at Bletchley Park, and get to and from our lunch room, enabling him to get a break which we need!

Thanks for your suggestion though, might be helpful sometime.

    Hugs xxx

    Hi,

Would be interested in a meet too somewhere, I'm a bit quiet at the moment.

Currently am just on a week away At convalescent home just outside Chudleigh in Devon. The blurb says lovely countryside with little distractions. Flippin right there, no internet, or a G4 or a G3 phone sig at all, just a GPRS, and is it slow!

    Have a nice one everybody,

pS, I will bring some Clotted Cream and Biccies back for the table.

Evening Sister Snail, congratulations,  you are obviously a great worker and it is so nice to be recognised. Not enough folks say thank you or well done, but many are too ready to criticise when things go wrong.

Had a quiet day today, so decided to bake marmalade cake as I made marmalade last week. I have left some of the cake on the side. Enjoy.

In the spring my mum empties her freezer of any fruits not used and makes mixed fruit jam. Then when the fresh fruits come along she has space to put them. The mixed fruit jam is great in jam tarts and rolly polly puddings etc.

    Hello everyone,

Thank you for your messages and thinking of us,  been a bit quiet lately, been very deep in thought and quite down, Mick is not doing so well and what has become the new normal seems to be changing slightly.  The time of year probably doesn't  help either roll on the spring.

We used to love  planning holidays but unfortunately we can'tgo very far now, love to hear about all the lovely places you are planning on visiting.  Lynda, your plans sound lovely, not sure I would have the confidence to do as you are, China sounds wonderful is it a guided tour?  We have been on a few tours, I think that is something lone teavellers can do more easily.

The cats (or terrors) sound lovely, they are a constant source of entertainment we have enough trouble identifying the culprit with our 2 when something goes wrong, it must be much harder for you.  Well done on your vouchers obviously very well deserved.

You never seem to stop Moomy, hope you can rest at the weekend.

Hi Christine, hope you are coping ok the holiday you mentioned sounds lovely, the chops typo made me laugh.

The marmalade cake sounds good Gillian.

Hope you are fully connected soon Ian.

lots of love to all Jasmin xx

Hi Carol. Now you really know how special you are !,, Well done.

Hi Gillian, that cake sounds lovely I am on a diet but I can have a virtual piece haha

  • Dear Carol, I am thrilled for you! You really are very special and so deserve that recognition!

Gillian, I enjoyed that virtual cake, lovely idea to use marmalade!

If we really want to meet up, the Admin team could start up a private group so we could discuss and plan in private?

Jasmin, thinking of you and Mick, sending you good vibes....

Ian, good to see you popping in ......

    Hugs for everyone
