Hope all goes well tomorrow Gillian, sounds like thick woolly tights & warm jumpers will be needed when we come to the railway next month

I've got my mate again tonight & she's fast asleep next to me (i let her stay up because nanny sometimes gets lonely when she goes to bed) him indoors has just txt & said the stair curtain i put up again this morning is now laid in the floor again with 3 cats sat looking at it

  • Lynda, any wine kept in this room is guaranteed calorie free! So please help yourself.....

Carol, I just giggled out loud again! The thought of a trio of cats sitting looking at a pole-with-curtain tickled me no end! (Plus kitten-chips too!)

    Gillian, stay warm whatever.....

Christine, Jasmin, Keith, and everyone else,

    Big hugs xxx

The three cats looking at a curtain pole saying "it wasn't me, was it you?"   made me laugh out loud as well.

So glad you have your cat back Lynda - he probably wont stray too far if being lost frightened him, I hope so anyway

Anyhow I now know that I start Radiotherapy on 20 January for 15 sessions. Hubby has op on 21 January and should be home same day. On the 21 January I also have my Herceptin injection. We are going to be busy.

In the meantime we have other things to do. Like meet friends for coffee. Hubby is involved with a community orchard group and he is organising wassailing on Sunday afternoon. You wander round the orchard in the dark with flame torches, freezing cold, drinking mulled cider and putting toast in the trees to ward off evil spirits. Then you stand by the fire , more mulled cider and eat apple cake and sing songs, the latter not with your mouth full.

Based of course on Pagan tradition but great fun for an hour on a Sunday afternoon at this cold, dark time of year. The birds love the toast and hopefully wildlife generally will benefit. Thus when spring comes along and blossom is on the trees the blossom will get pollinated etc. A good harvest to come.

  • Gillian, that wassailing sounds a cool thing to do, Pagan or no! It is a signal to the orchard that you all expect results next year, and I'm a firm believer that plants have some sort of a reaction to us humans! Yes, may be a bit hippy but we tried playing gentle music in the greenhouse one year and the seedlings grew amazingly!

Busy day as usual today at BP, we had a really fascinated group, the last demo, and almost got locked in with them, they wanted to know all sorts of things!

Tired now, though, it's been 3days on the trot, choir Thursday with lots more music than normal, then G&S Friday with lots of standing around, then on my feet all day today too! (To think I am retired, lol!)

Hugs to all, together with a pack of choc shortbread biccies

    Hello all,

    Hope you are ok.

So far I have been to the leisure club three times. Twice using the treadmill and the pool, and the third time doing the aqua fit class. I'm booked to do Aquafit tomorrow and Thursday this week. I figure if I keep booking the classes I just have to go!

I only managed to lose 1lb this week, but will persevere. Well, at least for another week. That 2 stone goal seems like a long way off.

I let Lucas out for a walk around the garden today for the first time since I got him back. i stayed with him the whole time, and brought him in after 10 mins. I'm hoping if I do that a couple more times he might get a better idea of where he lives. Meanwhile Luna hid from the open door and nasty open cold space. I think she has decided she should be a house cat!

Still haven't booked China. I can't decide whether to go for it, or book a couple of other different breaks. I'm waiting for details on the Way up Croatia holiday. Maybe fuerteventura in Feb as well.....or maybe not!

I'm not very decisive at all at the moment. Anyone else got holiday plans?

jasmine, how are you feeling now?

Carol, have you figured out the mystery of the cats and the curtain?

Moomy, are you sill overdoing it! Just reading your schedule wears me out.
