Oh, Carol, any news that means its not cancer is great news!!
Very lazy day here, William and I just had a nap, after having braved the crowds in town, to fight our way into Lush, to get me some 'essential supplys'... - William's got a hernia at the moment and I think that's tiring him out quite a bit, so he's still in bed at the moment... But as its nearing dinner time I must awaken him now and see what he wants for dinner...
Off to the pub a bit later, for a few hours, then out for coffee tomorrow afternoon with William's daughter, oh, and Tuesday William and I are off to the registry office in town to show them all the relevant documents for our wedding, in May... and register etc... (sure theres a proper name for that bit...)..
Hope everyone else is OK, sounds like its getting blustery outside here again, but hopefully its still dry for now...
You sound so busy Mark & by the sound of things having such a good time you've not started packing for the holiday yet,i still have my big bossy knickers on so i'll say it again, get packing & sort those prescriptions out, hope you got all you wanted in lush,i'm a body shop girl, spend a fortune in there, hope you & William have a lovely time tomorrow & have no problems getting the wedding organised,i keep thinking about Christmas shopping but just don't have the heart for it,i know i must get organised or nobody will get any presents
Cats are running round like little lunatics & by the sound of things one of them is in the bedroom,i really should go & investigate but i can't be bothered, don't need to go anywhere now, they've all come downstairs now,Polly & Medusa are having a rest & Willow is still chasing a ball round the room, soon be bedtime for the little monsters
Love to all
xx
Hello all,
Well I am also still swallowing razor blades if I try and eat anything, and coughing them back up.
Just managed a tin of lentil soup slowly. In a minute I will try some rice pudding.
My eye is getting red and weepy, saw the practice nurse earlier and she says if it isn't better tomorrow go and see the pharmacist.
Sorry can't do a long post with only one working eye!
So sorry to hear that several here are suffering. This bug sounds dreadful. I think the day case centre staff are suffering as there was a delay getting my herceptn injection this afternoon because of staff illness.
I hope you all feel better soon
Mark, all the best with your wedding plans.
The kittens sound like they are tiring you out, they do seem to get into lots of trouble.
Hugs to all
Love and hugs to all of you fighting off the Lurgy hope you soon feel better. Make sure you are getting plenty of vitamin C. Lynda do take care of yourself and hope your eye soon settles down.
Carol; I've plenty of time to pack! - I kinda know what clothes I'm taking, plus a few other things I want to pack once I've double checked the regulations on what we can and can't carry etc now... - Also I've solved one major Christmas present concern! - I didn't have a clue what to buy Karin, but I know she likes Lush things... anyhow, she's just gone out and bought an expensive bath to be installed early in the new year, and I knwo where she lives doesn't have a Lush store... so I'm going to buy a selection of Lush dried things; bombs and melts etc, for her new bath!
I'm trying to keep busy, and do more; the more I do the better in general I feel, and I guess I'm probably well out of all the chemo and radiotherapy fatigue now, so more than anything trying to do more must help me regain a bit of fitness after this past year (losing weight is the next big challange!)
Right. must get on, William's showering, my turn next, then we're off to the pub... its blustery out... Trying to decide between wearing a skirt, my purple dress, or the leather trousers... I know the trousers would be most sensible... but the pub is close by... so I'm thinking I might go for the slightly too short purple dress, with the new snowflake 'Christmas leggings' my red beaded jacket, and perhaps even break out my fox-fur stole (its an antique 1950's one) for the evening!- I think I can live with cold arms! - I guess one day I'll find the cross-dressing slightly less exciting than I still do now... but... for now I'm just enjoying the novalty of it! - getting my ears pearced sometime in the new year I think, so I can accessorise even more!
Not sure which necklace to wear tonight though... I'll decide after I've showered.
Oh, and I'm also feeling a bit bouncier the past week, I think having discovered my leftover neuropathy from chemo, isn't all actually neuropathy; a lot seems to be a weird thing caused by my ongling having to take hydrocortisone (steroid) every day for my Addison's thing... - I've sneakily (without consulting the docs) lowered my dose slightly and the neuropathy has improved so much, notice it especially when, say, typing on touch screens etc...
Hope everyone else is OK tonight, and eating something nice and warming now we've the cold weather for such things...
Pleased to hear you have the packing all under control Mark,i'm dreadfully disorganised & usually leave my packing till the day befor i go,somebody i used to work with would have her clothes all laid out in the spare bedroom 3 weeks befor she went on holiday,i don't have enough clothes to be able to do that,so what did you end you go out in last night, think i'd have gone with the purple dress but i'd have worn thick tights not leggings & get you with your vintage fox fur stole,i love all the 50's style dresses & love to dress nice when i go out
Hope all are well, warm & dry,was almost pleasant here this morning so some cloth head went to work without a coat, now this person works in a nightclub & obviously there are no windows & guess what, when she left work it was pouring with rain, one very wet person when she got back to the car
