It seems to be due to the confusion about security procedures rather than any threats thank goodness.

It is a problem knowing where to travel safely but I am sure they will be sorted soon. They are getting extra time in the sunshine. Xxx

That's what I said to them! I said enjoy the weather, it's pants here!

I think if they said you've got to stay another week but gave them a definite date they would be OK, it's the uncertainty that is so annoying.

The news just said they hope to get everyone back within a MONTH!!!  Nice, a month in the sun - wish I'd gone now!

Hi everyone hope you are all ok.

I had mammogram on Tuesday 2nd one since breast cancer 2 years ago.  Really worried when letter dropped on mat today.  Everything is ok thankfully..  Would normally be really happy and am but feel really strange.  Mick is really pleased for me but so wish he was in different position.  But I suppose its one less worry.

    Love to all xx

    Hi Jasmin,

gosh those results came through quickly. I can understand the mixed feelings only too well. Just look at it that it means you are fit and well enough to keep looking after Mick.

    miserable and wet here today.

So pleased for you Jasmin, hopefully you'll soon be feeling happy, how's Mick doing

Weather here today has been foul, rained pretty much all day, hope all have had better weather

Well it would appear that Polly is an aboriginal cat & has gone walkabout,we last saw her yesterday at teatime,i'm sure she's not far away & like Vince said cats are known to wander & can be gone several days sometimes, her babies don't seem too bothered that she's not here & are still being little monsters, they did make me laugh this morning,it was pouring with rain here & both were in the kennel, when they heared Vince they trotted out,got halfway to the gate, looked at each other & ran back to the kennel

There'll be a fresh loaf of warm herb bread on the side round about 7pm & a pan of homemade veg soup

    Love & hugs to all

    xx

Oo, Great news about the steroids, Jakki! - Sadly I'm probably on mine for life, as they're for the endocrine stuff rahter than cancer... - I so need to lose some of the two stone I've put on, over the course of chemo! At least my weight is stable now...

Fairly quiet  few days here. William staying over,  we went to the pub last night, next to my house, where we often go (William doesn't drink though), and I wore my dress out... First time out to a pub fully 'cross dressed'....

Something of a hangover this morning, for me... So after a small breakfast, went off to the GP surgery and had my flu jab, and whilst there they offered me the pneumonia one to, so I had that whilst I was there. No dress this morning though, was too cold and wet out, so just jeans and a top plus a leather coat...

Spent half the afternoon drinking tea, and the other half napping! But got to visit the little food fair thing they have behind the  pub on a Saturday, and had a pulled beef spicey thing, in a ciabatta... big and tasty! Now cooking sausage and chips for our dinner (I did us a risotto last night).

Oh, and whilst in town rescued a loverly soft, long skirt from the charity shop, which I'm now wearing, and will probably wear out to the pub tonight, which I've paired with some  black stockings, and a apparently almost garish bright red beaded sparkly top!

Hearing all this pet news of the cats, makes me miss not having a pet anymore... - I always   say when I go to visit my Dad I'm really only going there to see the family dog! - oddly we'd always had cats, until the dog which we've now had for an aweful long time...

Hope all are as well as can be

Good morning all. We seem to be blowing away here. Just been out to feed the birds and the rain is horizontal.

I hope everyone has enjoyed a good weekend. We have had a quiet weekend, we were planning a couple of days away again but I have been running a slight temperature so we stayed home. The weather was not good anyway.

We will see what this week brings.

  • Eve'nin' all (shades of Dixon of Dock Green!)

I have got safely home, our weekend was busy and exhausting (a Golden Wedding celebration on Saturday, and a 40th Birthday celebration yesterday, a long drive home in mostly wet but always very windy weather, then unpack, washing, mowed the lawn and went out for choir practice. Home for some dinner, now unwinding.......then tomorrow Bletchley Park as usual........I will try to pop in sometime again soon, but am feeling I want to sleep for a week!

I have read back a bit, sorry you are feeling rough, Gillian, hope that temp goes down.

Jakki, pleased that you can gradually reduce the steroids, hope it goes smoothly and is fine when you are off them.

Christine, Carol, Jasmin, Keith, Mark, Lynda, Helen (good to see you pop in here)  and everyone else, sending you all big hugs xxx
