Good evening everyone.... Well, after successfully lmping about the bits of furnature earlier, rearranging some things, re-organising the HiFi, and rewiring the speakers for their new position, I learnt I'm not as strong as I used to be... b quite a bit... But I still I gues fitter than I could have ended up... and, despite the neuropathy I managed to cut, and bare the speaker cable wire OK, and get it into the fiddly binding posts with a lot less hastle than I thought my fingers would give me now.. - however, my back was quite sore after all that, so I then spent nearly an hour in a boiling hot bath with a rediculus amoutn of bubbles and some very nice scents, - Lush cosmetic, the one thing I've discovered uring my treatment, that I just can't imagine How I coped with not having discovered before! Backs a little less sore so hopefully won't keep me up all night again tonight...

hope everyone is having a nice relaxing evening; on the camomile tea here again now, as I tend to do later on in the day...

    Good afternoon all,

just popped in to leave some warm scones and jam for you all to enjoy.

Had a lovely day off so far with yoga, a meet up with friends for coffee then a swim. I am liking this slow phased return to work. I have put a letter in to the head and Governors requesting that my hours be reduced to a four day week, keep your fingers crossed that they say yes!

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the lovely autumn sunshine. Moomy hope your daughter is on the mend and will be able to enjoy the big weekend, can't wait to see the photos. Hello on here Mark hope your back not too stiff today.

Carol, Matlock charity shops are missing you, come back soon!

    love to all

    Jakki xxxx

    Hi Jakki, everyone,

Hope we're all enjoying the weather today, I am, even if only from the safety of indoors so far today.

jakki; back actually feeling a bit better; its more my shoulders I think, and sort of the armpit chest area (both sides now, not just the lymphoma side)- a mixture of poor posture, bad sleeping position steroids, testosterone, radiation and, probably my pauling diet goes some way to expain it I think! - but, Hoping I can still blame chemo-brain, for only recalling, this morning, that I have the wheet heat pack thing I bought way back in the start of my chemo; I used it back then to stop naucea (got kind of abdominal pain, and it stopped it, by applying heat).

Have been alternatively applying the wheet heat wrap thing, to my back and to my chest, and the muscles are   easing no end (so guessing it is just a muscular thing). Oddly, this does now mean I've found a truely purposeful function, and therefore reason, for my owning bras; err, well, being male, of course, putting the heat pack in the front is ideal position for me to get my chest muscles all relaxed down, and that in turn seems to help my back no end.

So far today I've mainly been listening to loud music in the bedroom, whilst packing my  bag, for Karin's visit, as we're both staying in the posh hotel in the center of town here (my house really is far too much of a mess and small to have had her stay here with me).

My life seems to get increasingly weird, but, so far at least, for me, in mainly good ways.

hope everyone else is having a good day with the sun out.

I've made some tea, and cucummber and cheese sandwichs for everyone..  - must be about time for afternoon-tea, afterall...

    Hi all,

hope you are all doing well today.

Surprise surprise.....I have been painting again! Just the bathroom ceiling and cloakroom ceiling to go, and maybe a bit of touching up the bathroom walls. Should be finished by Friday...in time to go on holiday to Lanzarote.

the nice man put my curtains up in the lounge and main bedroom, and as an added bonus when I asked how the blinds in the bedroom came off he offered to take them down for me. Plus, he offered to take them away and get rid of them. I did give him £10 afterwards as it saved me a big job.

In case anyone is interested here is the new bathroom, complete with bath (not just shower)!

    Hi everyone,

Hope all ok, Lynda, please don't  worry if your arms start waving around randomly, they'll  just think they are painting!  The photos look lovely, so nice when someone does a fairly small thing  to help and saves a big thing for you.

Got the next 3 days off, so hope to get Mick out for an hour or two, lively weather is suppised to continue.

Love and best wishes to all  Jasmin xx

    :)

my son was painting the lounge ceiling while I was painting the bathroom today. He said it sounded like a ladies tennis match.....all he could hear were grunts as I tried to reach the top of the wall.

Good time to have a few days off as the weather forecast is good for the rest of the week. Hope you can get Mick out for a while, the sun always raises the spirits a bit.

Crikey Lynda I have heard a few male tennis players grunting in my time. Your Son should be so proud of you and all you have achieved. Sorry just had a picture in my mind of you painting on a trampoline !

(sorry this was the only picture I could find)

Good job you have all these holidays booked to get your strength back again. Your new home will be like a show house

    Evening all, again,

Clearly I need to take inspiration from this! -

My house.... is in a decade or more's state of disrepair!; the bathroom and kitchen both just need to go! and the entire place needs redecorating.... - I don't much fancy my chances trying to paint at the moment either!; lifting my arms high enough to get the tea down from the top cupboard is quite enough painful! -

I think I'll cheat when the time comes, and get 'the experts' in to do mine; and maybe holiday away whilst they do it! - There is a plan though; to do this house up, and move, which may be as early as next year, after the small question of arranging and getting married probably some time now in the spring next year...

A not totally unproductive day here, and next up now I've washed up from dinner, is a long, long hot bath followed by  some final packing later, before I go to meet Karrin tomorrow for our few days away together. - Mind, I'll no doubt still be packing in the morning anyhow, but her flight doesn't arrive into the UK until the evening, so I oughta be able to manage it by then!

Hope everyone's doing OK tonight... = hoping we don't drop too cold this evening, after such a warm day with clear skys....

    Hi Mark,

i confess i said to my son today that when the house needs repainting I'm getting the experts in. Decorating the whole place has been a long hard job so I will be very glad to finish it now.
