    Hello everyone.

Hope everyone is as well as can be.

Your new home sounds lovely Lynda, all new and freshly painted. You should feel very pleased with yourself.  Glad you have your holidays to look forward to, it must help.

Hope your daughter makes a quick recovery and you all enjoy your sons wedding Moomy.

Hope you and the cats are ok Carol.

So pleased you had a nice time in the Lakes Gillian, I've always wanted to go there.

We have had beautiful weather, spent yesterday gardening all day, done nothing today apart from ironing.  Mick not too bad, he sat in garden yesterday for an hour, but kept apoligising because he couldn't  help me

Hope everyone has a good week.

Love hugs and best wishes to all Jasmin xx

Jasmin I know how Mick feels, Hubby has to do allthe gardening, ironing etc as I just don't have the energy but wish I had. Good that he could sit out and supervise though. I have a hammock and it is lovely to lie in the shade on a nice day and watch Hubby. Just being together is so important.

I have been busy today, I forgot I had an opticians appointment this morning, they rang me and I managed to get down there. Chemo brain again, I will have to get myself better organised, too many appointments.

Hugs to everyone who needs them

*WAVES HELLO TO EVERYONE* ! hI! HOPE i'M NOT INTRUDCING POSTING IN HERE... - sPOTTED THIS THREAD, FROM TIME TO TIME, BUT JUST NEVER QUITE GOT ROUND TO POST INTO IT, IT SEEMS  -- Gillian
-- i KEEP MEANING TO GET MYSELF SOME SORT OF DIARY, REMINDER SYSTEM SET UP ON A SUTIABLE PIECE OF MOBILE TECHNOLOGY, TO HELP ME NOT FORGET STUFF!; nOT SURE IF i'VE STILL GOT CHEMO BRAIN FLOATING ABOUT, OR ... WEATHER MY MEMORY WOULD HAVE JUST ENDED UP THIS SCATTER-0BRAIN ANYHOW... HARD TO KNOW WHICH i GUESS, BUT DEFINATLY AS IT IS NOW, NOTHING LIKE IT USED TO BEF, BEFORE CHEMO...  hOPE EVERYONE IS ok; HAVING A GOOD DAY HERE (HAVING SLEPT LAST NIGHT HELPS SO MUCH), TRYING TO DECIDE IF i WANT TO JUST DO NOTHING WITH THE DAY, AND RELAX, OR DO WHAT i KNOW i SHOULD, AND FINALLY MAKE AN ATTEMPT TO CLEAR ALL THE JUNK THAT i THREW INTO THE SPARE ROOM.... - OVER THE DURATION OF CHEMO, AND rt, BASICALLY, WHENEVER i COULD NOT REALLY DECIDE WHETHER TO KEEP, OR CHUCK SOEMTHING, OR DECIDE WHERE TO PUT IT... - ITS LAL BEEN THROWN INTO MY SPARE ROOM, AND i COULD SO DO WITH SOME SPACE IN THERE, FOR VISITORS TO USE THE BED, IF NOTHING ELSE... i FEAR i MAY HAVE TO GO TO DO THE TIDYING! WHILST i'VE THE ENERGY, AND CONCENTRATION....

  • Hi Mark, and welcome here,

i like to think of this as a cosy room to pop in day or night, comfy sofas and deep armchairs, a wood burning stove for winter but bifold glass doors onto a beautiful garden for lovely days like today, and the scents from there are lovely, perfect for the blind and not so blind too! There is a small kitchen with a big fridge and freezer, so we can all leave tasty drinks and snacks for each other.......there are warm snuggly throws, the chairs recline too so that if you feel sleepy you can just settle down!

Fairies clean up after us all and sometimes leave snacks too.....

talking about snacks, I just popped some gorgeous Costco choc chip shortbread cookies in the tin, help yourselves!

Gillian, forgetting stuff is bad enough when you HAVEN'T had chemo, I would be dreadful if I had your excuse. Maybe if you have a Smart phone, set reminders with an alarm so they can help? Or post-it's on a calendar nesr where you always look?

Lynda, Christine,  Jasmin,  Carol (and the kittens) hope you are all well and enjoying this Indian Summer as much as you can.....

went out doing those last minute bits ready for this weekend and the wedding! Getting excited now.....

    hugs to you all xxx

Hi  Moomy, and everyone else, again.

    thanks...

The weather has been nice here too; was out earlier in it, up a street nearby; and we raided the local charity shops (this appears to e a new hobby I've developed whilst undergoing treatment!). - Todays haul was three metal bangles, all about £1 each... Sadly one is too small to risk sliding onto  my hand! - But I know who we'll give that too, and who will appreciate it!

Making use a small bit of energy today, despite the good weather, to do some de-cluttering... - Gosh!; I guess I should have  expected this muscle weakness, after the last 9 months and everything! but, even so... - just shifted a set of shelves; at the start of the year I  could carry that shelf unit, with one hand, with all the shelves in position... - now I had to remove all the shelves out of it, and even then using both hands, I moved it a fraction of the distance it has to move; now on a  tea break!

Ooops! and sorry for my previous post being all in caps... I only noticed afterwards the damn caps lock was stuck on...

It is the weakness that is hard to manage, we went to the Lakes and did no walking, went for a drive instead. Will just have to exercise as much as I can so when chemo is over there will be no stopping me.

Cream cake in the fridge as a treat, help yourselves

    Hello everybody

Gillian,so pleased you had a good weekend & good weather

Lynda, you are still so busy with that new home, bet you'll be pleased when it's all done & you're moved in

Jasmin,so nice to hear you managed to have Mick in the garden supervising while you worked

    Hello Jakki,how are you doing

Christine the kittens get worse by the day, well Willow certainly does,if there's trouble to be found she's there with bells & nobs on blowing the whistle, they have all been for the last injection tonight & Vince said they were all on their best behaviour & our lovely vet said we can get the kittens booked in at the end of october to be spayed & chipped, hopefully that will slow Willow down a bit but i have my doubts,we found out the other day that no way is Pud having Polly in,she snook in the other night & Pud had her pinned down by the back of her neck, mind you it didn't stop her pinching his biscuits

Hello to all the new people who have been peeping through the door, come in & join us,i'm so glad i did

Hello Mick & welcome to the mad house, this is the best place ever to get a hug when you need one

    Love & hugs to all
