Hello everyone,
the title says it all, this is a thread for everyone at any and all hours of day and night, to post, help, laugh, cry and anything in between. There will be no nasty posts, everyone who joins in will be gentle, considerate and kind to everyone else. Hugs to all......xxx
Lynda you have so much energy I don't know how you do it. I am always exhausted(perhaps I need to move house!)
I think you should choose the plumber you feel most confident with. You could always tell him why you chose him and ask if he could reduce his estimate at all?
You will need that retreat in Turkey to relax and unwind xxxx
Oh my goodness Lynda you really have got on with the decorating,i wouldn't be able to do ceilings as i'm no good on ladders or looking up,must be very tempting to do them but i'd be waiting for the son to do them
We've had a lovely day at Foxton Locks today & while we were there we bumped into a polar bear, she sends love & gentle hugs to all, they're a lovely family & it was a delight to spend some time with them all,she did say she'd wondered what would happen if a snail & a polar bear met, well i can now tell you.they talk, laugh & drink a lot of tea, hope we can do it again
hope all have had a good day & are as well as can be
Love & hugs to all
xx
You've done a fantastic job Lynda & i'm full of admiration for you,i have spoken to some lovely people on this site & it has been so nice to put faces to names & proper hug with them
xx
Hi All,
It was lovely to meet Carol and Vince today, and put a face to a name, you are two lovely people and it was great to see you. I am still about and yes sending gentle hugs to all, hubby starting his phased return next week, hoping things settle down and we enjoy this next phase in our lives.
Love to you all xxxx
Polarbear,
Ggod luck to hubby with his phased return, I go back on a phased return in just over a week, we'll have to compare notes.
Carol you have had a great week of catch ups, sounds like we have been lucky with the Welsh weather; it's been a beautiful day today lots of beach fun!
Lynda, I agree with going with your instincts on workmen, cheapest is not always the best option. Well done on the painting.
Oh dear Moomy, the great british summer! Hope you have dried out.
Gillian, how are you feeling after your blood? Hope it has given you a bit more energy.
Keith, I could do with a large pasta dish if Rosemary is at a loss what to create.
love to all xx
Wow, a snail and a polar bear meeting!
Yes, you are all lovely people!
Big hugs (gentle ones for Lynda - you are right going for the recommended plumber!)

Eek........plumber has had a job he was due to work on for the next two weeks postponed, so I asked if instead of re jigging his other jobs he could do my bathroom. So he starts Tuesday!
So so much for my rest day. I now have to dash off this afternoon (an hours drive) and order all the bathroom stuff for delivery Tuesday.
by the time I get back from holiday I will have a shiny new bathroom :) Ready to paint :(
have ve a good day everyone.
But in your return from your holiday, you will have a bright, shiny new home!
Bit of a shock, but then, if it needs doing, the sooner, the better, surely?!
Hugs xxx
