Thank you all. Please do tell me to shut up if I get boring.
I am very lucky that I get on so well with my daughter inlaw. In some ways she is the daughter I never had, crossed with a friend.
christine, Eurotunnel insurance.........go for it. You will be fine, and remember my mantra. "In the unlikely event you hate it it is only 4 days out of your life". Did you phone the company to see how many single people they have going?
I did try to ring the Company but there was no answer but I did have a live web chat and that was very reassuring.
She told me they have all sizes of parties going, all tours are included and the representative is there all the time to offer help and advice. She also said that the hotels are all close to bars and cafes and restaurants so I would not have to go far for a meal or coffee. All quite reassuring. Then my friend reminded me of the problems with the tunnel at the moment and made me think!!
I must admit it sounds really attractive.
Mm I hadn't thought about the eurotunnel problems. But politically im sure the government won't let them go on for long. Too damaging.
Go on Christine do it we are all rooting for you!
Lynda, what an exciting and scary time for you, a bit at a time on the packing and I am sure you won't have suddenly gone off your new home. We need to hear all about it, with pics if poss.
Gillian, sleep well hope you continue to feel ok.
Moomy, thanks for the crumble yum.
I have done most of my packing today, getting giddy now, I am a bit like a small child when I'm going away very excitable!
love Jakki
Good morning my lovely friends
Gosh all this excitement going on
Christine, you really must get those trips booked,i think all the pallarva will soon be over & you'll be whizzing through the tunnel
Have a lovely day with the daughter in law Lynda
Jakki, have a wonderful holiday,i look forward to hearing all about it & seeing photos when you get home
Gillian,hope you feel ok today
I'm now off to feed Polly & her babies then i've got a very exciting afternoon doing cleaning ;-(
Love & hugs to all
xx
Christine, I suspect most of the Eurotunnel problems will just be with trucks, not with a coach, I have not seen any of those held up on the news channels.....and Eurotunnel travel insurance is good!
Sister, please point your vacuum cleaner this way, have done such a lot today that the cleaning has to take a back seat, I'm shattered! I hope you are managing to handle all the kittens now, and that you can feed them separate from Polly!
Jakki, have the best ever holiday! Looking forward to seeing some pics when you return ( do you have any space for just a little-ish person in your luggage? Cos I could stowaway! )
Gillian, I hope you are feeling ok and resting well? Take care in the sun as chemo doesn't mix well, and it seems as if summer may be on the way again! ( fingers crossed!)
Lynda, hope today is going well, tell us more, especially about your chosen furniture!
Hugs to you all xxx
Moomy
Hi Christine, I can understand your concern! Hope it's ok though....
hugs xxx
Moomy
Hoovering all done & i have painted 3 boxes this afternoon ready for decorating for the craft stall, the trouble is i keep hearing those kittens saying "come & play with us" so i have to go & make a fuss of them, they're getting easier to handle everytime i go out there to them,i feed Polly first then the kittens but she does tend to help them out a bit,i tried them with a few biscuits today,i didn't think they would manage them but they woofed them down so i don't think i need to mash the meat anymore,i want to keep them all but Vince keeps saying no :-(,even though 3 are black when you get close to them they have the tabby markings & at the minute i can't tell them apart, think they may need a bow of ribbon on their head
xx
