Well done Gillian, put your feet up and drink loads of water!
Sister, thanks for the orange juice, didn't need the paracetamol, I drank loads of water as well as the fizz so felt ok this morning. Those kittens sound a bit fiesty, do you wear gloves?
Sun is shining hurray, my packing is nearly done, roll on Saturday!
Put some yoghurt so in the fridge, trying to eat up before Sat.
love Jakki xx
Well done Gillian. Fingers crossed for small side effects.
sister, I'd love a hissing bundle, but it wouldn't be fair with the holidays I have planned plus the move in the next 3 months. They sound adorable, and their own personalities already.
I've spent most of today looking around me thinking how on earth am I going to pack all this. Oh well, I'm sure it will be ok once I get started. Bit by bit. Off to order sofas tomorrow as the delivery time for those will determine when I actually move.
Pleased you're ok after chemo Gillian, hope things carry on this way for you
Lucky you Jakki, even after just a couple of drinks i seem to have a headache next morning, must be getting too old for going out
Don't need gloves for taming the beasts, tonight i found a really easy way to do it,i sit in the garden on a chair & fuss Polly & patiently wait then after a couple of minutes they start coming to me & let me stroke them,Medusa only kicks up a fuss if i go to their home but she wasn't as bad this afternoon when she realised i had food,it's quite funny watching her really as she hisses, tries to spit then rolls on her back with her claws out at which point i pick her up & stand her near the food
Once you get started Lynda i'm sure you'll be fine, the thought of packing & moving is very daunting isn't it,heaven knows what we'll find in the loft if we ever move
xx
Cute, hissing bundle!
now my big black boy.......came flying through the lounge window (I don't have a cat flap so they use the window) straight into the kitchen this afternoon. I didn't think anything of it until 2 minutes later a sparrow flew from the kitchen straight at the upper lounge window....closed. Stunned itself and fell back into the room. So I rescued it and put it on the outside windowsill, breathing heavily but alive, window firmly shut to stop Lucas going out. Half an hour later I went out to move it into shade, and as I turned with it in my hands it took off and flew away.
i have a feeling you, my friends are going to get fed up hearing about my move in the next few weeks, and thank you all for your support Both past and future. Just had e mail from daughter in law asking if I want company picking the keys up and going to order furniture tomorrow. That's why I am moving :)
Lynda I am glad the bird recovered.
We we will not get fed up hearing about the move it is exciting and interesting. Lovely that your daughter in law is giving you support already. You will feel so much less alone when you live near them. Good luck with the furniture shopping.
xx
Well done rescuing the Bird, they are amazingly resilient
We are looking forward to hearing your adventures.
Right I am off to bed, just been for a walk round the block to help keep everything moving. Sleep tight everyone.
"
She has just invited me for tea at theirs tomorrow as well.
tonight I'm just scared at the thought of moving and doing everything. Scared I won't like it when I get they keys. Stupid I know because I still liked it Monday, but I'm a bit irrational today.
im glad the sparrow was ok too. For my next, trick I just rescued a live shrew from Luna. They often bring shrews in, today there have been 4. Usually they are dead but every so often there is a live one. At least that is unlikely when I move.
are you ok today?
Hey, Lynda, I certainly won't ever be fed up of hearing your adventures! So glad daughter in law is keen on helping!
Wildlife is resilient on the whole, so pleased for wee sparrow....and shrew too!
I had experience of rescuing grass snakes, when we first moved in there was country all round, then they gradually built up housing....once our postman brought us a grass snake, another time a friend phoned me up, she had one captured in a bucket with a lid on, I went round ready with gloves and sticks as well as a box in case it was an adder (highly unlikely) saw it wasn't and immediately put in my hand (she shrieked!) and lifted it into the box I'd brought. There's a wildlife area not too far away, with a study centre in it, I phoned and asked if I could release the snakes (at different times) and they were happy for me to do so.
Gillian, glad the chemo seems to be treating you reasonably kindly....
Kittens sound gorgeous, Sister Snail, but we aren't 'catty' otherwise I'd have loved one.
Hugs to you all xxx
ps, apple and blackberry crumble going spare, plus some cream, help yourselves xxx
