Hello everyone,
the title says it all, this is a thread for everyone at any and all hours of day and night, to post, help, laugh, cry and anything in between. There will be no nasty posts, everyone who joins in will be gentle, considerate and kind to everyone else. Hugs to all......xxx
The sun is shining here this morning. My son and girlfriend are supposed to be going for a walk today, they got up just under an hour ago, and she is just getting dressed! If it was me I would have been up and out by now.
Gillian, make the most of it! Much better than visitors who still expect you to do everything.
I feel a bit flat now I'm back from holiday, even with family here. Getting stressed over the house now too.
Christine, after the family go (in a couple of weeks) I'm happy to come to Birmingham for a day if you want to meet. Did you say it is possible to do a trip on a canal?
Hi Gillian thank you but I don't think anything can help me at the moment just got to get through this. It really does help having such lovely replies and friends on the site. I hope you have a lovely day and enjoy the lunch your Aunt and Uncle are bringing. Take care of yourself xxx
Lynda I would love to see you. Weekends or Monday's and Tuesday's I am free as I help with the Grandchildren the other days. Yes we can take a canal boat ride plenty of canals in Birmingham. Let me know if you feel up to coming and I will sort out what to do- depends how long you have got! I can understand your stress about the house but I am sure it is the right thing for you. Try and look forward to the new life xxx
Hey, Gillian, I hope the visit will help lift your mood, grey skies really don't help, do they?
Christine, so sorry you are blue, but at least here you can admit to it! Sending hugs, lovely lady!
Lynda, post holiday blues, too are understandable! And as Christine says, Birmingham has loads of canals, more than Venice, apparently! Have walked above them over the bridges a number of times, and it looks as if a boat trip would be great!
Sending all you lovely folk love and hugs xxx
Moomy
Really hoping for a daughter getting up with more movement and less pain today, she arrived here in agony Monday evening, was promptly fed and given pain relief and driven to the out of hours team, she has supraspinatus tendonitis (that's shoulder trouble to you and I), he advised a further day of rest with painkillers and anti-inflammatories, plus a sedative if possible.....needless to say the out of hours pharmacy had none of the prescribed meds, but we coped.
Yesterday she slept till really late, (good) and was in much less pain, so as I couldn't get an urgent physio appointment I dragged stuff up from the memory and got her an ice pack to use, and today i will suggest hourly gentle exercises to increase her pain free movement. It's her 'slide' arm and as a trombonist it needs to be good as she's playing in a Prom concert in the Albert Hall Saturday, argh!
I'm going to drive her to her place tomorrow to change luggage (she was working in Spain last week) and then Friday to Birmingham for rehearsals (CBSO) and then hopefully she won't need to carry anything in that hand. She will stay over and train it down to London, with a trolley for the instruments.....heck, what we do for our kids, eh?
Hugs xxx
Moomy
Moomy, sounds like you have a job on your hands again. Is that concert being televised?
Christine, how about Tuesday 28th? I've just had a quick look at trains and I can get to New St for 11ish.
Hi Lynda, yes, the Beethoven 9 is being shown on Sunday.
Yup, bless the lass, she suspects it might have begun when she got trombone bag off her shoulder in a confined space, and I think also trying to weigh a heavy case with hand held scales......just hope that when she eventually surfaces it's better! (she's a really late body, often not sleeping till the early hours and then all morning, often till into the afternoon, as today!)
hugs xxx

28th works well for me Lynda. You just coming for the day? Do you want to keep it to us or ask if anyone else wants to join in?
Just the day I think to save having to get anyone to feed the cats.
Happy for you to invite others too.
