I hope your daughter is up and about and feeling better Moomy
Should be a good day out in Birmingham they have loads of canals.
We had a lovely lunch and it was so good to see my Aunt and Uncle. My uncle is 85 on Monday and he is amazing. We asked him a while ago how he managed to stay so fit. He reckons it was core fitness when he ws young maintained throughout his life. He was always always a
Keen cyclist and has only just given it up.
Pleased you had a good lunch Gillian, hope i'm still riding a bike in my 80's,not that i ride mine much at the minute but the thought would be nice
xx
Glad you enjoyed your lunch and company, Gillian.
Daughter is up and has been exercising and practising too.... and been fed of course! a couple of times ! It looks as if the arm is healing reasonably well, though a bit slow, however she needs to get pain free range of movement before getting strength back, so I will still drive her north to change all her luggage, then sleep then drive her down to Birmingham, leave her there to cope with catching trains from there. I will then drive her car with her luggage for Canada, and we will pick her up from wherever......

Hi everyone,
That sounds a great sugar fest, dear Sister Snail!
Hope Polly and family are ok and she is bringing them out to play now and then?
now I'm 'oop' North, daughter drove a little but not too far, arm is improving but not quite there yet, she has a lot more pain free movement though, and the anti inflammatory gel helps a lot.
Moomy
So pleased to hear the arm is improving
Polly is still eating us out of house & home & demanding lots of fuss everytime we feed her,not seen babies yet but we have heared mewing from behind the shed & we've got to do something to stop the neighbours dog from hopping over the fence & scareing them half to death befor they start coming out to play,i really dislike that dog & it was so funny when Polly smacked it's nose
We're coming to Bakewell next week Jakki, can you recommend somwhere nice to eat please
xx
It will be exciting to see the mews when they start popping out.
ive just been out for a lovely meal as youngest son and girlfriend go home tomorrow. My task tomorrow is to wash and remake the spare bed ready for my parents to arrive Sunday. I have to do it tomorrow as I am out to Lunch Saturday.
Hope everyone is ok.
Yes it will Lynda,i hate all that changing beds malarky,i think visitors should do their own beds befor they leave, how long will your parents be with you
xx
Morning all.
I am very lazy and get my cleaner to change the beds. She even puts it in the washing machine. I must say though I don't have the strength to lift the duvet, that is,my excuse.
I too am looking forward to hearing more about the mews. How, any are there.
When I go to Bakewell for lunch with a friend I go to. Upstairs Cafe and Gift Shop on Market Street. It isn't fancy or quaint but the food is varied and good. It is a cafe but they do everything from sandwiches to full meals. It gets good trip advisor reviews.
