This is the start of a new journey for me and my much loved friends from the original Oesophegus thread on general discussions.
We have become a close group and this will be our new home to continue our journey as life has become very hard for many of us and we keep re-living our journeys with lots of newbies which puts us all back a bit.
So my lovely friends Mel, Sam, Helen, Bern, Jac, Nic, Dawn, Sue, Cath, Lesley, Jani and the many other special friends Mel and I have made over the last 16 months this is it we have a new home.
Love to all and extra strength to carry us through our next stage XXX

Me first poster today.
Tell you a secret (it's only because the kids go back to school today and I can't bloody wait !) Ssssshhhh, don't tell anyone.
Tony's aunt died yesterday complications with breast cancer. She was awaiting an op but her kidneys where playing up??? Oh dear how do we ever get through a few days without another blow!!!
Aaron just called to ask me if I am enjoying my relaxing day.
So far I've been to tesco, pet shop (new addition to the family called Ricky, a silver gold fish), Ironed, washed, hoovered, made 3 beds, cleaned fish tank and finally sat on the pc for a bit.
Tomorrow I will absolutely not being doing a thing !

I know what you mean about the supposed to be relaxing day mines pretty much the same so far everyday this week I have promised to have a chill day mmmmm perhaps tomorrow. Yeah right!!!
Right, My friends Dad has not started chemo today as it was just to talk about it!!! The plan is as soon as a bed becomes available he will go in for 5 days have a break and then another 5 days so I presume he will be having ECF or ECX ?
He was diagnosed July so unless it's my imagination they are as usual taking there time!!!!
My friend(s) (both son and daughter) preceeded to tell me today they have said this is really going to knock there Dad around and well I just went mmm yes I know. Me and Tony have been telling them both and their partners just what a rough time they are in for!! So was I speaking double dutch or do they really think I have'nt got a clue????
Sorry ranting about somebody who is about to start this awful journey but I am just so shocked that a family I am so close too are going to go through this with there eyes shut.
One of my friends ( School Mum ) searched me out this morning to tell me her Mother in Law has 2-3 months to live because of advanced lung cancer. She then went on to say that she has moved in with them and they will be caring for her, but both work full time and they have two children, one doing GCSE's and the other doing the SAT's for Secondary School.
She really thinks it's going to be easy and that you are given loads of support. I struggled and we were lucky with the support we had. It's a steep learning curve isn't it Em?
Ladeez, I know I haven't been around much. Well, if it makes you feel any better I have hardly seen the other half too as I haven't been at home!!
Well, I lose internet connection so I am going to be gone for about two weeks...unless BT can work faster?? You never know.

You are always in my prayers, so even on the quietest day when you feel alone, just take a deep breath and know that someone somewhere is thinking of you.
