We had a terrific day out, and ended up at a Lakeland, (Dot will know all about that!) and Sir helped me spend, lol! He's anxious to think about jam, home made since we now have some small fruit bushes, and they sell a jam boiler which guarantees good jam with more of the goodness of the fruit left....I bought some bits and bobs for the new kitchen too......

You've just reminded me that I absolutely NEED a new cheese grater............so I MUST HAVE a trip to Lakeland.....not sure which one...........Nottingham and York are the closest - but a trip to Windermere is not out of the question!!! It would make a lovely day out for my birthday!!!! BUT I would expect more than a grater as a present..............I'll think of something!!! Quite like the look of that 'Remoska' thingy?? But will make a list of jewellery and stuff I've seen elsewhere..............I have to give Alan a list and then leave it up to him to choose!!!!



You're right 1969 was a very good and eventful year!!! Moon landing...........Investiture.............Highland Wedding won the Grand National...........weddings.................and.................. other things too!!!!!!! SIGH!!!!!

Dot, Happy anniversary to you and Alan too, mmmmm a visit to Windermere might be a really good way of celebrating it.....! The Remoska, I think, has been imitated by other companies, but not quite sure if that is completely identical in use. I too was interested but have already a number of counter top things in the kitchen and that would be too 'over the top' I think.
