Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Hope you have a good night tonight. Loads of love

  • Julie is and spot on and that comes from a real understanding of how you're feeling. This thing is scary as hell something. Again Julie is right when she says everything revolves around this. Got me I'm also trying to understand that it's also alright not to be all right. As everyone knows on here, I often have a little cry, but trying not to feel bad about that. There are some truly beautiful people on this forum and you can let go of any feelings, thoughts you have. Honestly send you all my love and support. Pippin gives you a hug too.

  • Sorry my phone keep autocorrecting to the wrong word.

  • I sometimes (= often) think that technology is here to irritate us. I switched my spell checker off ages ago because it kept substituting ridiculous words when a place name was not in its database. I am not a touch typist so my eyes are on the keyboard rather than the screen. I can usually catch my spelling errors after posting and proof reading, but not always. I think some smartphone users do not use any punctuation. That can be a challenge for old fogeys like me to decipher the message Slight smileThinking

  • Ray ( and

I was typing a post in reply to a Community member on the Prostate Group - and didn't check it, just posted it. I should have put:

"Click on my avatar or name to view my journey"

    but typed

"LICK on my avatar or name to view my journey"

Within seconds I had a couple of replies

"Help, my tongue is stuck to the screen"

    One mistake, just one mistake.............................

  • You've made me laugh. Thank you. Humour, even if unintentional, can get wonderful responses.

  • Morning Ray, just!

Your posts are great - always amusing and mini stories in themselves. I particularly like your Germany reminiscences and shopping tales.

Please carry on entertaining us! Hugs xxx
